Just a meltdown...

Had a serious meltdown last night...totally lost control of these emotions.  Maybe it's from the Ovidrel or Clomid...idk...but I was so uncomfortable all day yesterday that when it came to BD I just couldn't do it and broke down.  Sometimes I feel like my DH just doesn't understand what the big deal is, and he is trying to be supportive I know, but a part of me feels like he just doesn't get it.  Maybe it's me being bitter because I'm the one with the extra hormones, needles, and tests while he just sits back.  IDK but either way we missed an important BD day because of all of this........

I triggered on Monday, BD'd Monday and Tuesday, pretty positive I O'd Tuesday into Wednesday...did I miss our window?  Any hope this month?

2011-Oct.2013 - trying off and on, ob/gyn, no meds
November 2013-December-EOD, ob/gyn, no meds
January 2014- ob/gyn ordered Clomid (50 mg) unmonitored, EOD-BFN
February-Clomid 50 mg. unmontiored, EOD - BFN
March-Switched to RE
April- 100 mg Clomid/Ovidrel-BFN
May - 100 mg Clomid/Ovidrel-BFN
June-*BREAK/Switch RE*
July- 5 mg Femara/Ovidrel + IUI #1- BFN
August- 5 mg Femara/Ovidrel + IUI #2 - BFP!!!!

    I'm so sorry, I have those moments more than I care to mention.  It honestly sucks that we have to pump our body with tons of hormones that make us feel like shit and have horrible mood swings and gain weight and they just go on about life as they normally do.

    I think as far as timing you are good.  My RE tells us to have sex 12 and 36hrs after trigger.  Good Luck!

    You had great timing! You BD'd the exact days my RE told us too w/ similar situation. Give youself a break, you're allowed to breakdown. You are feeling about 50 different emotions all at once, its got to come out somehow. This is a rough road. You're doing great!

    IUI #2 February - Letrozole, Follistim, Ovidrel: BFP 1st beta-25, 2nd beta-56, 3rd beta-45, miscarriage
    IUI #3 April - CD3 U/S 4-10. Letrozole, Follistim, Ovidrel CD11 - Cancelled.. TI w/5 follicles-BFN
    IUI #3.1 May - CD3 U/S 5-6, Follistim start 5-11 thru 5-17, u/s 5-18 3 mature w/ a close 4th, IUI 5-20 - BFP!
                 Beta #1 12dpo - 164 & progesterone - 89!, Beta #2 16 dpo - 1189, 5w3d - u/s shows TWINS!
                 6/19- u/s showed heartbeats! Baby A 111 & Baby B 118, both measuring 6w1d
                 7/3- Baby A hb 170, Baby B hb 166 - both measuring perfect.
                 7/18 - Baby A 165, Baby B 171 - both measuring right on track & moving all around!

    You had PERFECTLY good timing no worries! So glad you went for it on Tuesday!!! 

    ME:      36, on BC since 1996,  irregular periods.   HUBS:      37, healthy

    2001—meet.  2005—marry.  2006—Furbaby is born. 

    On BC till end of 2009.  2010 NTNP.   

    New Year’s Eve 2010—BFP?! January 13, 2011—early loss, HCG peaked at 324, no D&C needed.

    Feb 2011-Nov 2012—NTNP 

    Dec 2012 --present (TTC 20 months) Not even a hint of a BFP

    Me:  BW, U/S, HSG, HSN normal.  AMH 2.33.  Hubs: SA normal

    April 2014--IUI #1 Clomid 100 4-8 Follistim 150 9-14, 5 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 5/5 1100, BFN 

    May 2014 ---IUI#2 Clomid 100 3-7 Follistim 150 8-13, 3 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 6/6 547, BFN

    June 2014--IUI#3 Follistim 150/225 3-15, 3-5 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 7/11 1450, BFN

    July 2014--IUI#4 Follistim 225 2-12, 3 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 8/12 841, BFN

    Breaking till after Christmas, then IVF...taking 4000 mgs daily Inositol and Melatonin 3mg

    I get it honey and I'm sorry you had a bad night. On O day this month he refused to have sex, he said he had a horrible day at work and wanted to come home and relax and how dare Ipressure him into it. I tried to be rational but I broke down crying and screaming saying he was being selfish we wasted a month and now I'm going through all these side effects and mood swings and hot flashes and being sick all the time but he doesn't want to do the one thing I need him to do. I could go on and on but needless to say it was a sucky night all together...I think they just need to suck it up and see what we're dealing with I don't know I understand the frustration

    Thanks ladies for your support :)) @ktupiak‌ I totally understand...there have been quite a few months he has pulled that as well! And it's like..I'm not going to force him to bd...and then somehow manages to turn in my head to him not wanting a baby as much as me blah blah. I have to remind myself that he's a man...no he doesn't get it...and I just have to pull him along sometimes....just like most of the things we do/or accomplish!

    Okay know what you guys mean about him not wanting to. When my DH pulls that it feels devastating. I know it's not always fun but you only get a certain window of time each month.

    Began testing May 2014
    Test Results
    HSG- clear
    Hysteroscopy- clear
    SA- 11 mil count
    45% motility
    Diagnosis: MFI
    July 2014: Femera 5mg CD 4-8, Trigger, IUI = BFN
    August 2015: Femera 5mg CD 4-8, Trigger, IUI = BFN
    September 2015: Femera 5mg CD 4-8, Trigger, IUI = BFN
    May 2018 after long period of not trying, starting adoption process with family friend's newborn
    November 2018 Adoption complete!

    I think your timing sounds great! Don't beat yourself up, you are entitled to have bad days!!
