I had so much trouble last pregnancy and fought to bf my first for barely 6 months. I have googled both of these, but I value your opinions!
1. Tubal? I am having a RCS, so no additional anesthesia, but did anyone have troubles after a tubal? My doc says no, but I want thoughts! I am willing to wait if my breastfeeding would be inhibited.
2. I never leaked before my first delivery. I am able to squeeze colostrom out this time. Maybe a good sign?
Re: 2 questions-personal experience?
Leaking is a good sign, but it still can take up to a week for your milk to come in. Make sure you are able to breastfeed ASAP after your c-section.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
As far as leaking, I was able to squeeze colostrum with both pregnancies but only successfully breastfed with this baby. Colostrum and leaking shows your body has the ability to make milk. Being successful relies on many other factors including but not limited to, babys latch and establishing a good supply by breastfeeding on demand for at least the first few weeks.
Good luck!
