NBR: any veterinarians here?

So, my dog has vaginitis. We are really not in the position to be taking her to the vet and forking out a ton of money for an exam, blood work, ect...we are still paying double house payments on 1 income. Money is super tight.

I want to order medication for her, but don't know what pet meds to get, or if there is something over the counter i can give her?

My moms friend suggested vagisil, but I'm not sure that would work...shed be able to lick it off, and not sure its safe for her. Suggestions on this?

    She's got a clear mucus that comes out of her vagina when she pees. Increase urination, and drinking, along with increased licking and red lady bits.

    She's spayed fwiw.

    I hope you got some answers. Vets are expensice! We just paid about $1500 in the past month for a lump removal on our boxer and extensive blood work for our cat, who ended up being diagnosed with kidney disease. Our female boxers sometimes gets some discharge out of her vagina. Thinking about it, our male boxers get discharge out of his penis too. I've never called because it isn't much and they don't have any other symptoms. Maybe it's normal? I hope you get some answers.

    They don't take payment plans at all. Only thing I could do is apply for a credit card (like a vet card) and I could apply the cost to that....which I don't want to do. I made an appointment for Saturday morning. Guess I'll just have to fork out the money. I really an a responsible pet owner....bills just suck!!

    In the mean time I've been washing herlady bits with warm water and a little tea tree oil mixed in with it. Its looking a little better so far.
