Stuffy Nose

So it seems Emma has a little bit of a stuffy nose. It's not bothering her to eat at all, but when she's sleeping, it pisses her off. She has actually been sleeping again in the RNP, because when she's flat, it's really stuffy I've been squirting saline up her nose and then suctioning it out, anything else?

It sounds like you're doing everything right! Leaving her outside the shower while you take a hot shower, or bringing her in with you at a lower temperature would be helpful - the humidity really helps.

I love my nose Freda works so much better than that germ infested bulb aspirator. But at this age there isn't much you can do but try to make her more comfortable.

When each of my older kids take their showers tonight, I'm going hang out in the bathroom with her.

This may sound strange, but my pediatrician suggested squirting some breastmilk up there and then holding her upright to let it drain. I haven't tried it yet, but the nose frieda and suction are too big for her nostrils still.

I second the breast milk comment. I tried it with my little man and it was magic. He immediately snorted the biggest, hardest booger out and then I was able to suction out the other nostril a few minutes later. I have shared this with all of my mommy friends!
