Sending hugs to all those newly benched.  Seems like a lot of us are going through the same waiting game together!

I have no real update. I'll probably be ovulating any day now, but we haven't had any TI in the last couple of days for one reason or another. Hoping we can get at least tonight in! Not that it'll matter, but even if it's the tiniest of chances, why not? Plus who says it only has to be for ttc? lol

QOTW: Pinterest. I think I live on that website lol

  • My last cycle is officially over, CD1 finally arrived. We are semi benched for May because I'll be out of province for work. We may do TI if DH decides he wants to visit that weekend. I'm leaving it up to him since he'll be doing all the driving.

  • Even though we aren't in a treatment cycle I decides to take opk's just for the heck of it. Got a positive for the first time ever on a non medicated cycle! Went to the RE and I did ovulate! I had a 17 mm follie in my good ovary on CD 12. So we have been TI and praying for the best! I'm just over the moon that my body finally did something right for once!

QOTW: I spend more time than I should on Facebook and Pinterest. I have been browsing Disney Worlds site a lot lately, as we are planning a trip for next year to take my nephew.

Same 'ol, same 'ol. I did receive a disturbing article on the IF board about the clinic my RE is switching too, so now I'm overthinking everything and wondering if I should switch to the new clinic or just wait until someone replaces her at my current clinic. Sigh.

QOTD: I'm on my feedly and hootsuite (social media manager) way too much, but they are more or less for work, so that's no fun.

  • I have nothing new going on here.  H's blood work still isn't back, we're hoping today.  H has his appointment with Urology next week, I'd like to have the whole picture to bring them.

In non TTC news, we adopted a dog from the local shelter and we go to pick her up tomorrow.  We're so excited, and she's stinking cute.  I'll post pictures tomorrow.

QOTW:  I'm here and on FB way too much.  I also am an Etsy junkie, but I try to stay off there because I'm always tempted to spend $$

  • Hugs to those that need it this week!

Not too much new this week. I have good and bad days/moments with coping with our 3rd m/c. I have an appointment with my RE on Wednesday for follow up after the d&c. I'm hoping to have results from the genetic testing done on the embryo at this visit. Once we hear about the gender of the embryo we have decided to give the baby a name to help us with the healing process. I also am preparing to come armed with a list of additional RPL tests to request to be done.

I'm hoping that AF will come within the next 2-3 weeks so we can do the scans for uterine abnormalities and move on from there.

Websites: social media has captured me- so I spend most of my time on Facebook and Pinterest.

  • 1. What brings you over to the bench?
Benched right now until we figure out what we are going to do since my prescription plan no longer covers anything other than ovidrel and clomid. We are trying to figure out if we just pay for the drugs out of pocket (we do not qualify for any sort of assistance) or just move on to paying for IVF. My husband is trying to see if he can get me covered on his plan next year and if they will pay for it.
    2. How long will you be staying with us?
A few months or maybe longer.

    3. How do you feel about being benched?
Not great. I was first benched due to the horrible winter we had here and falling while snowboarding and tearing my acl which needed surgery. I was okay with that since we planned to just move on after that. Not so great now though since we were suprised nothing was covered.

QOTW: Other the thebump.com, what website(s) do you spend the most time on?
I spend way too much time on facebook.

ME: 37, unexplained, all tests normal, no blockage. I do have celiac disease though diag 2/09
    DH: 37, mildly low motility
TTC since 1/2011 but not actively. Actively trying since 9/12.
    11/13: IUI #1, 50mg Clomid + Ovidrel = BFN
    12/13: IUI #2, 100mg Clomid + Ovidrel = BFN
    1/14: IUI #3, 150mg Clomid + Ovidrel = BFN
Taking a break due to torn acl and surgery and now no prescription coverage for injects.

  • Hi ladies, I'm coming to join you!  Hugs to those who need them.

    1.  I got benched due to cysts, we're giving my ovaries a little chilling time.
    2.  Fortunately I should be back in the game when CD1 rolls around, which should be in a couple weeks, I had a +OPK yesterday (my earliest ever for a natural cycle, woo hoo!).  Once we get off the bench we'll be heading for IVF#1.
    3.  I was pretty bummed initially, but I'm having an endo biopsy next week before IVF, so I feel like I'm still doing something, plus we had our consult yesterday.  I think it's probably for the best to sit out and give my ovaries a chance to chill before heading into IVF.

QOTW: Probably my IF FB group, or my blog/the blogs I stalk!

I got pushed back on the bench because AF was coming early except she hasn't. Day 5 of spotting and still no full AF. Wish she'd stop screwing with me.
Ready to take the road less traveled.
  • Hi ladies, I will join you ..

    1. What brings you over to the bench?
I had a lap for an ectopic preg and had my tube removed in march so I'm still benched from that. Also, I have my first meeting with my RE Tuesday so he may bench me for longer to do tests, who knows!

    2. How long will you be staying with us?
Definitely until June, possible longer depending on what the RE says

    3. How do you feel about being benched?
I'm okay about it. My second loss being ectopic was really scary so I definitely needed some time to heal and get my head together. I'm just warming up to TTC again so I hope we come up with good news with the RE and a good game plan.

QOTW: Other the thebump.com, what website(s) do you spend the most time on?
Facebook for sure, I'm a little too addicted to that. And I google the crap out of everything, I have to quit that lol

    Me (30) DH (31) Married 5/13, TTC since 2/13
BFP #1 Blighted Ovum resulting in D&C on 11/1/13
BFP #2 Ectopic Pg, lap surgery on 3/12/14, R tube removed

BFP # 3, EDD 2/21/15 * please be our rainbow*
  • I've been benched as well but I don't think I participated in the check in as of yet. I am taking another cycle off to relax (haha) and try to get healthy before continuing treatment with my new RE. I will most likely do one more IUI and move onto IVF. I benched myself to get healthy, take a break and work on finances for IVF. I'm pretty happy about being benched since I needed a break and some time off from the meds.

The websites I spend the most time on: Thebump and Facebook

  • Hey girls!  I've been laying low from the The Bump lately, needed to clear my IF head for awhile.  I have been riding the bench for a while now.  Here is my story:
    1. What brings you over to the bench?
I originally joined the Bench in September due to a cyst and decided to stay to get some weight off.
    2. How long will you be staying with us?
I have 12 pounds left to lose so likely I will be here until around Julyish
    3. How do you feel about being benched?
At first I hated it, and sometimes I hate how long it has taken me to lose the weight, but all in all it has been good for us.  I have lost enough that I have started to O again on my own so it feels good to know that it is working.
QOTW: I spend most of my time on mod cloth shopping or on the stir reading articles.  This is the only IF site I go to.
    Ba hahahaha!
