Lesson learned...

Ladies...if you have anything you value on your computer (pictures, financial information, pictures!!) back it up!!!  My laptop is fried and all of my pictures of Morgan are on there, every single picture from birth to now!!!  The guy working on it doesn't know if he can get them so I am looking at losing a year and half worth of pictures :(

I'm learning my lesson the hard way...

    Best of luck!!  This happened to us with our 1st born and I remember Dell telling me that there was no way to get the info back (motherboard was fried).  However, we took it to someone else and got EVERYTHING back and then bought an external hard drive.  I really hope you get at least your photos back (its my understanding that photos are the easiest thing to get)!!

    OH NO! That is is awful! DH was trying to be helpful & ended up wiping my phone last year which lost all the pics from the first 2 months of Killian - luckily I went a little facebook happy posting a lot of them so I was able to snag them back but we definitely learned our lesson.

    Hope the Tech Gods have mercy and find a way to send them back to you!

    Thanks ladies, I am sick over this and just worried to no end.  My friend is a computer wiz so I am about 95% sure he can get them but until I have them in my hand I won't be happy.

    I really hope you get them back!! My computer crashed last year but luckily the hard drive wasn't affected. We have apple time capsule but i'm not always sure how to access it.

    I hope you get your pictures back. I am very paranoid. We have our pictures on our computer, on an external hard drive, and we have them in an online storage account.

    I'm so sorry....the same thing almost happened to me with my old Mac...I ended up getting an external hard drive for a reasonable price at Best Buy and every time I upload pics to my Mac, I also upload them to the external drive (it took some time to get in that habit). I hope your friend can salvage your pics.

    Actually I just got word over lunch that he was able to save all of my pictures!!!!  YAY!!!
