Sorry everyone that this was so late! I had a crazy day at work, my sorority chapter that I advise has drama, and my uncle is in ICU. Plus, the formatting is weird because I am on mobile...I will fix that tomorrow!

Things here are great aside from the drama listed above. Baby kicks all the time and I love it. DH seems to be scared of the baby bump, so I am on a mission to get him to touch it. And the shower planning is well underway! All exciting stuff!

17 weeks on Friday! We found out today that we are having 2 boys! That's my big update. Now to finalize names.. Do you guys plan on telling people the names or waiting until showers or birth? I haven't decided what we will do.

Haven't even started nursery stuff.. But most of the rooms in our house are gray, so maybe we will just go with that? I love gray and green (like olive green) together.

17 weeks on Friday! We also have our first growth scan, so I'm going to try and get the tech to give us a guess on what team we are.

Other than that, not much going on. My appetite has dropped off even though I'm working and running around like crazy. I'm starting to have food aversions to things I liked in first tri, which sucks. I guess I'll just have to find something new!

QOTW: If we are team blue - dinosaurs, team pink - owls. DH said if we are team purple I can still do owls, but I might mix some foxes in there. We will see!

Hi beauties! 26w today; my pregnancy app says 98 days til kiddo--geesh! No big updates, no appointments for 2 wks. DH loved feeling carrot kick tonight, he's always surprised how much harder he/she thumps each week! I so much enjoyed stocking our bookshelf in baby's room yesterday. I even found my favorite childhood book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom"!

QOTW: Baby room is a light teal (called splash) and cream. I'm so glad we had it painted in prep for an adoption placement prior to our own pregnancy surprise--so I don't have to worry about painting it this summer beforehand! The wall colors will go good with either pink or blue. Til then we are doing yellows and greens, super light and refreshing colors with dark wood. Still need wall art, bedding and our glider to finish.

22 weeks yesterday. Feeling the girls move more and more which is great. Also my anxiety is under much better control - thank you zoloft and thank you therapist and thank you placenta previa for not bleeding. I will have an US at the MFM next week and hopefully that placenta will have moved up and I can start being more active!

@Aurora1181 - we weren't going to tell anyone the names until they were born, but we've ended up talking over some of our top choices with a few close friends. Mostly we don't want to tell either of our sets of parents - just in case they say something negative about the names that we don't want to hear (I don't think they'll say anything negative once the babies are here and the names are given).

QOTW: For nursery it's not really our style to do a really specific theme. The room is already painted a very nice off-white, so we're going with mostly off-white furniture with a lot of colorful prints on the wall. I did order this rug https://www.target.com/p/radial-dot-area-rug/-/A-13226283#prodSlot=large_1_11 so that will be our general color scheme. DH is an illustrator with a real penchant for animals and mythical beasts (like yetis, abominable snowmen - but friendly ones) - so we're planning on picking a few of his pieces and having prints made and framed of those.

Hello! My blood pressures are much better and I am up 3 of the 4 lbs I lost last week.

I am 17 weeks and 2 days today. We are having twin boys and are working on names. @Aurora1181...we are going to have a lot to share! LOL

QOTW: what colors or themes do you like for the nursery? If you haven't picked yet, what are you thinking about? Our nursery is painted baby yellow. We are trying to figure out curtains. My mom has been helping me to wash mini-blinds and windows in order to set up the room. My husband and I ordered our two cribs, 2 mattresses, one dresser, and swivel glider reclining chair for our nursery. We will have a "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood" theme in one area of the nursery for sure, but have chosen the Winnie The Pooh themed bedding with pastels....yellow, blue, green, orange, pink,...we wanted something neutral but I also adore the color yellow and had to have a yellow nursery!

Hi Everyone!

This is our first week on 2nd tri. @Manada and I are 14 weeks today with twins. We did partner IVF (after 7 failed IUIs trying with M's DOR and a lap that removed both of my fallopian tubes due to stage IV endo) using my eggs and M's uterus. We transferred two day 3 embryos and they both stuck!

Our RE kept us until 12 weeks when we did the NT scan there, so we've been spoiled by ultrasounds every 1-2 weeks. Our last one was almost two weeks ago at 12w1d and our next one isn't until next Monday, so it will be almost 3 weeks between. I realize that isn't very long compared to how long most people have to wait, but it is a long time for us since we, like most/all here have PAIF brain, and were used to seeing the twins every week or two. Our midwife understands and is letting us come in today for a quick doppler to hear the heartbeats. I'm excited because this is actually the first time we'll hear the heartbeats (we always just saw them at that RE's office).

M is feeling better than she did for most of first tri but is having a lot of gag reflex issues and has to sleep pretty upright due to acid reflux. We're both appreciating that she has more energy than she did during first tri and have plans to take advantage of it this weekend to get household stuff done.

QOTW: Our baby room will be the same apartment white as the rest of our apartment, but I'm planning to buy removable animal decals from etsy (we will probably do a mix of "forest" and "jungle" animals). We are planning to have white furniture that is a mix of used and ikea. I want to do a colorful rug, but also don't want to spend a ton of money on it because with twins we have plenty of other costs to consider.

Hi Hi Hi! 21 weeks 2 days here. @Allison7 I'm sorry about your uncle, hoping he gets better and you get some rest! Things are going well- we went to a party this weekend where I got lots of great advice and reassurance from other new moms and ate tons of delicious food. Went to Buy Buy Baby on Sunday- I had no idea it would be so huge! Everyone there was super helpful as well too, much more so than BRU, so I think I'll register there and at Amazon. Starting to freak out a little about not having the furniture picked out and nursery started, so I really have to work on getting the paint picked out and ordering things that take a long time (like the glider at uyBuyBaby- some apparently take as long as 16 weeks?!). Tiny dancer is active pretty much all day, this morning s/he kicked me so hard so suddenly while driving I jumped in my seat. Dad still can't feel a thing

Next appt is next Friday.

My appt last week went great! The u/s tech only had orders to check my cervix but offered to do an abdominal u/s too, so we got some pretty good pics.

I was supposed to have the fetal echo for baby girl on Tuesday, but it was rescheduled to this Friday. I am so ready to get it done and know 100% for sure that she's ok. Later today I have an OB appt and have to turn in another 24 hr urine collection so I pray that there is even less protein than before. TMI but my urine is less foamy that it was before, which is a good sign!

QOTW: I couldn't find any pre-made nursery bedding that I like for both a boy and girl so I splurged a little and ordered custom from Etsy. It's kind of vintage-y looking with bunnies. The skirt & blanket fabrics I chose has the bunnies on it and comes in a soft greenish blue and what looks like a peach-ish color. I really hope I like it

Hi ladies! I had my first MFM appointment yesterday which went wonderfully. He didn't think my GD was all that bad, which was a huge relief. I'll only need oral meds, and so far they are working like a charm. And they did a second anatomy scan and baby looks perfect. All around, a great day.

QOTW: We've already finished our nursery lol. I think we finished it at around 21w. Guess we were anxious! It's mostly gray and white and pink accents. I have pictures on my blog here if you're curious to see the final reveal!

@Allison7, T&Ps for your uncle - hope he has a quick recovery. And I hope the other drama gets resolved quickly, too. 22 weeks today! Not much to report except that we booked our babymoon for Memorial Day weekend, we will be driving a few hours to a place near San Diego. I've booked a Mommy-to-be package which includes 50-min prenatal massage, 50-min pedicure, plus "chocolates to satisfy those cravings." Yay

Munchkin is still giving little flutters/twinges of movement, but she still hasn't done anything that makes me say, "Oh, *that's* a kick!"

QOTW: we moved into our house last Mem Day weekend and painted "the room intended for baby" pale green. Probably not going to do much in the way of themes.

Sorry to hear about your uncle, @Allison7, hope he gets better soon.

I'm 24w1d today and little guy is moving a lot. My husband finally felt him kick and that was really cool to see his reaction. We ordered the crib, dresser/changing table and glider. We found some great looking furniture with good reviews on overstock and wayfair. QOTW: We will probably go with a blue, cream with accents of brown for the nursery. I found some cute, but not too cutesy bedding with elephants from carters that will probably be the "theme". We will also get some decals for the wall.

Allison7 Hope everything is okay with your uncle!

AFM, I can't believe I am in my last few days of second trimester! Makes me wanna cry happy, excited tears! Getting close and closer to holding my boy in my arms and I can't wait!

No updates other than I am bigger and definitely more uncomfortable than I have been! Sleeping is much more difficult these days and this weekend we are going to be in a queen bed instead of our king, so I am worried at the lack of sleep I am going to get now! I hope I survive the 12 hour drive to NJ without too many aches and pains! I am excited for my baby shower though and super excited about stuffing my face with all the NJ Italian food I can fit in my mouth! It just isn't the same quality down south! lol

QOTW: Baby's nursery is going to have an aqua color on the walls and then will be a mix of blues for décor with white furniture. I wanna keep everything light and bright! His theme is nautical and whales so we have anchors and whales as part of the décor! I wanted to do seahorses but they just aren't readily available for stuff. I do have a sweet little china seahorse I am putting on his shelf though!

Hi Ladies! I can not believe that this is my last check in for 2nd Tri. Wow how the time has flown by! I'll miss all of you and look forward to seeing you on 3rd Tri. @Allison7 you've done a fabulous job with check ins and you will be in my T&Ps.
We leave for vacation soon and I can't wait. Next appointment will be the week we get back and it will be a long one with big ultrasound to check placenta previa and another repeat 1hr glucose test. Woohoo!

QOTW: DDs current bedroom is the nursery so we've been working really really hard to finish her big girl room ASAP. Once back from vacation we have to get on the ball though because we are running out of time. Still don't have new babies furniture yet either which makes me super nervous. DD was early and I hate hate hate not being ready! DH even mentioned last night that we may have as few as seven weeks left if this baby decides to come when DD did. With DD we were literally finishing up the nursery the night my water broke and I swore that wouldn't happen to us this time around. Lol.

Anyway sorry for the rant and good luck to everyone! Thanks ladies and can't wait to see you on 3rd Tri!

Hey all, thanks for all the prayers for my uncle. He got some really bad eye pain on Monday night. He was just going to take some tylenol and use a warm compress, but my aunt convinced him to go to the hospital - he had an arrhythmia a few months ago and she was scared that this might have to do with that or his meds. It turns out that he had a brain bleed. Last night he was in stable condition, but today was going to be the bigger test of long term effects and prognosis. I am still hopeful that since my aunt was so on top of getting him to the hospital, that the outlook is good.

@Aurora1181 If DH and I could agree on a name, we would probably share it at the shower, but right now we are still "debating"

We're back from our big European Babymoon...and boy was it fun! So many French pastries, so little time. OMG. It was amazing. And we bought baby's first outfit in Paris.

Also had a follow up anatomy scan this morning and all is looking really good. I can't remember if I said it before, but when we went to the original anatomy scan right before the trip I was only at 18 weeks things looked good but they said baby was still a little too small to see everything really well. They also spotted a marginal placenta previa -- and today they said it looked to be moving higher and into a better position. Yes!

QOTW: No idea on theme or color scheme. We may not choose a theme...just find a cool pattern we like for bedding and drapes and take it from there. We tend to like bolder colors, so will probably settle on oranges and greens. We're heading to Buy Buy B*aby tonight to start a registry, so we'll hopefully get more of an idea then. That'll let me get to sewing lots of crazy stuff for her and her room, too!

Not much to report over here other than that Im def starting to feel movement. I have to believe thats what it is anyways. I was feeling it on Friday and DH put his hand over my lower stomach and was able to feel the "bubbles." It seems to be more frequent when I am laying down or just after I've eaten. Also in the last week I've gotten heartburn every day/every other day. So I am keeping tums everywhere and reading up on what to do for that. 20 week ultrasound is next week thursday so I am excited for that.

QOTW: We are team green and decided on a Lion King nursery. Nothing has been started for that yet. We did find out my DH father will be making us a crib and dresser. I am excited because it can be something we can pass down to future generations and such, plus it will save us some money.

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow. Nothing new since last update. I have my next OB appointment Friday. Feeling good overall. Ordered my 1st maternity clothes. I'm so excited!

QOTW: we won't find out if it a boy or girl until 1st week of June. So I have no clue on colors. We love monkeys so we'll try to incorporate them either way.

22w1d today. .. not much changed since last week. I was supposed to have an OB appt on Tuesday but the nurse called me on monday and said Dr won't be able to see anyone so I had to reschedule for next monday.

And yes Allison! DH finally got to feel a kick last night, wasn't as enthusiastic as I thought he would be though lol but it was still nice to see him experience it.

Qotw : ive been procrastinating on the nursery idk if it's just nerves or what. But I finally decided on what to paint it. We're going for a light gray and yellow. And will be accenting with hot pink and Navy blue decor with white furniture. Not too sure on themes I might just choose patterns since that will transition well as they get older.

Hi ladies! @Allison7, I hope your uncle recovers well, sending lots go thoughts and prayers to you! I'm 24w5d today and have another cervical check tomorrow because our appointment last Friday didn't go so well. The babies looked great thankfully and weighed about a pound and a half each but my stupid cervix had other ideas because it had gone from 3.1cm two weeks prior to 0.9cm last Friday. So long story shirt, I'm home on bed rest indefinitely and have a recheck tomorrow. Apparently i was having contractions that I didn't feel which they think caused it to shorten. Hopefully the Procardia and bed rest will keep things stable. These babies need to stay cooking longer! Thank you to all for the good thoughts and prayers! QOTW: the nursery is ocean/beach themed and my sister just painted it a sea green this weekend. We're ordering white cribs and a dresser and my sister made these incredible sea creature cutouts that she framed for the walls. I can't wait to see it all together!

Hello everyone

I'm 16 weeks. My next appt is May 19th.

We sold DD's nursery furniture so we are starting from scratch a little bit. I really want a smaller crib (we are looking at the Gulliver from IKEA). And a long dresser that can combo as a changing table. I want to paint the walls grey. And then use red or yellow or teal, accents. Going simple. No bed set, just plan on buying some cute fitted sheets from Target and calling it good

Sorry I'm so late, I've had quite the week! All is good over here now that I am on my iron pills. Babies are moving and the stretch marks have officially arrived! My glucose test has been moved to Friday now!
