Throwing some love your way! (and a question)

I wasn't sure which thread was most appropriate to hijack so I'm starting a new one instead. I just want to say that I am loving all of the beautiful babies on here and I am so proud of all of you mamas and mamas-to-be. I discovered the May BMB pretty late in my pregnancy and I lurked for a while before I was comfortable contributing, but I'm happy to be a part of this journey with you all. You gals are really good people and I've learned much from you all.

I posted in another thread about wanting a BF exclusive thread, and maybe we can start threads for weekly or monthly baby pics? I'm still a newbie to forums in general, and obviously to this one, so I'm not sure if I should be the one to start these. I haven't even had my baby girl yet, so I can't contribute for a while, but I would love to learn me some knowledge from the "pros" and check out some totes adorbs babies in the meantime. Is anyone willing to take charge on these thread ideas or should I attempt it?

Welcome to the board!

As far as the weekly/monthly baby thread, I believe that the "HDBD" (hump day bump day) thread will become "Hump Day Baby Day" as more of us are having our babies, so creating another weekly thread might be redundant.

I'm all for having a BF check in thread! I think it could be very helpful to me as a FTM to see how others are doing and maybe vent any issues I'm having.

I'd love to have a BF thread. Nursing my LOs is one of my favorite things about being a mom and I love to talk about it. I have no time to commit to starting it weekly but I'd definitely be more than willing to contribute and share my knowledge.

I agree on a BF thread. I know April has a Great Big BF Thread that just gets added onto, rather than a weekly check in. Either one would be beneficial to me.

I agree on the BF board also. All I ever hear is how hard it is and I know alot of moms that quit soon after having their babies but I am determined!

A BFing thread is a great idea! And to those worried about BFing, it is very hard... but only for the first few weeks! Then you have it down and it is amazing, awesome, easy, so incredibly worth it! We should do a thread so we can keep encouraging each other!

I would also love a BF thread. I like the idea of a long thread that is added to more than a weekly thread. Sort of like the "Put your dumb questions here" thread, which I also love.

This sounds great! I am also a FTM and super nervous about being able to BF. I know many new moms who quit rather quickly and I don't want to be one of them. A place to talk and encourage would be wonderful

I want a bf thread to, Ill be home most of the summer so I wouldn't mind starting it if that is agreeable to everyone? Do we want a weekly or one big one?

As a FTM who's experience of breast feeding extends to holding a teddy bear and being told by DH that i'm doing it wrong (we were at a class and he was taking it VERY seriously), I think a BFing thread in an excellent idea!

@Jennyinheaven - Thanks for volunteering. I think an ongoing one would be best (IMO) because I have a feeling my cries of "HELP ME!" won't stick to a weekly schedule!

Awesome! I agree with others that one big BF thread would be better than weekly ones. Thanks to @Jennyinheaven for volunteering to start it! And I love that HDBD will become the baby pics thread, which makes sense.

I look forward to commiserating with other BF moms as I try to provide my babe with the finest Cambodian breast milks.
