I asked that we don't spend my first official mother's day with his mother. And instead we're seeing them for dinner the night before. And maybe a massage or something relaxing but otherwise nothing specific.

Not sure what I'm getting my mom yet. I was going to create an album for her with Zoe and her growth in the year but since my mom's bday is in September i figured I'd save this gift for then since by then we'll have all 12 months. I'll at least get her a frame with Zoe in just not sure what else.

For my MIL - I'm letting my hubby take care of that this year. It's been me all other years and she's pissed me off enough to not want to do it this Mother's Day.

1) I asked for a stackable ring with DD's name and bday on it (found on Esty) but DH doesn't want to get it so he's in his own to figure it out.

2) My mom said she wants a news night gown. Step mom is getting a "family celebrations" calender. (Etsy) MIL, I don't know guess I should get on that. Kinda think I should make them something from DD don't know what though.

1. No, I'm not asking for anything in particular. If DH asks me what I want, I will give some suggestions, but he is pretty good at coming up with stuff by himself.

2. For my mom and MIL, we are giving them professional prints of the portraits we had taken of DD recently. We are giving both of them two large prints. My mom knows she is getting that but MIL doesn't even know we had the pictures taken, so she will be pleasantly surprised!

1. I normally never ask for anything, but this year I need new bamboo cutting boards. I only had two, and one of them broke during our move. I'm also asking for some bamboo cooking utensils. They are in my amazon wish list and I'm pretty gosh darn excited!

2. As for my mom and MIL, I have no idea. Maybe something with LOs picture on it.

I haven't really even thought of it. We haven't discussed it at all. I'd be happy if H were to acknowledge it, maybe get me a card and chocolate or something. My DH travels all the time and is gone for days at a time on a weekly basis, so I'm thinking he'll want to do something nice for me.

1. I've laid a bunch of hints that I'd love a gift certificate for a massage. I usually don't give hints but I haven't had a massage since 2012 and I need it!!!

1. DH hasn't mentioned anything and I feel too awkward asking for something (I always do for Christmas or my birthday or any time people might give gifts). I am happy to give suggestions and typically have a list if they ask but I'm not one to just flat out say what I want.

2. I think I'm going to give my mom a massage and MIL and SMIL pictures of LO with a card.

1. DH always gets me something thoughtful. My first Mother's Day I got a massage and last year a mom charm necklace which I love! This year I'm dropping hints for a pedi gift certificate.
2. I ordered my mom a gift set from tastefully Simple. ( I'm a consultant. ). I got her a few cute picture gifts of my daughters for her bday last month so doing something different for Mother's Day.

I haven't asked for anything but I really want H to get creative. For my birthday he gave me a card with the envelope still behind it (like how you would buy it in the store) not even signed. So yeah..I don't have high expectations.

For the moms and step mom: For MIL I think I will have Jack dip his hand in paint and stamp it on a flower pot and put some flowers in it. Same thing for my mom plus some yankee candles that I get her every year. I don't know what to do for the step monster..

This question got me thinking. Do our LO need to do something for our Moms or should we save the kid arts and crafts for grandparents day?

Not looking to rain on the parade but just wondering. .......

I did follow the link from @lindszachary‌ and got the supplies to make the butterfly pots with my kids for me and the grandmas

I'm not asking for anything. I'll see what my DH does. I fear that he will forget but I would feel weird telling him what to get me. He mentioned going out for dinner and then asked me who would watch DD... really? I would like to spend Mother's day WITH my child, lol.

As for my mom & my MIL - we live 2 hours away from my Mom & my MIL lives in NJ (We live in Canada) so we send both of them flowers & an edible arrangement. I would normally go spend the day with my Mom & sisters but I think this year I am just going to enjoy my first Mother's day alone with DH & DD.

I finally decided what to ask for! I knew DH wouldn't come up with anything on his own, and I've been trying to decide what I want. I made my decision- new running shoes! I'm stoked.

Still haven't figured out my mom/MIL/SMIL yet. Not sure if I even have to do anything for MIL/SMIL... hmm. I kind of just want to let DH take care of them.

@Legitsince86‌ so jealous you're getting the ring! I'll have to order mine some other time but I will get one!

I ended up doing the flower puts too. I put big squirts of paints on a paper plate (move are pink/blue/pink) then smooshed her foot in the paint and then put it on the pot. I did 3 puts at once that way. I had to wipe of my 1st 2 foot prints and redo them but then I got the hang of it and I spayed it with a clear sealer so they won't come off.

Not asking for anything. My mom will be getting a visit from me and the boys and we'll go to lunch. My MIL will be here that evening and hopefully I'll be back in time that we can do dinner with them.
