I have an occasional Dr. Pepper (like once or twice a week, max). I stopped drinking diet drinks in January, and haven't had any artificial sweetener since then, so I really limit my soda drinking now because of the calories. Don't get me wrong, I still crave it ALL the time, but try to force down water instead. I have a 12-pack of regular caffeine-free Coke at home, that I've been working on for about 3 weeks, and there's still probably 5 cans left. If only I could find caffeine-free Dr Pepper locally!

So prior to pregnancy I literally would drink like 3 cans of soda at work and then a couple cups at home (of Pepsi and mt dew specifically). I mean I literally cracked open a can when I woke up....it was bad! The week I found out I was pregnant (a surprise but not an unwelcome one) my husband and I decided to quit caffeine. So that week we stopped altogether....except Fantas orange and grape soda lol. When we crave a soda we drink one of those. I'm down to 1 Fanta a day. I try to drink a full bottle of water but I mostly drink juices like OJ in the am now....and ocean spray juices (the mixes like white cran peach or cran grape or cran apple). Also, we drink minute maid fruit punch juice sometimes and such.
Honestly we give ourself 1 day to have a caffeinated beverage (either Friday or Saturday nights) when we have our date night out to dinner.
Cutting caffeine has been difficult but I found out I was pregnant 3/31 and pretty much since 4/2 I've cut caffeine out (except my one glass on date night once a week). You just gotta think of it as a healthier choice and better for your baby. I've read that the less caffeine you ingest the better sleeper your baby will be when born and such. Literally try to switch your caffeinated sodas with non caffeinated (like Fanta). Plus there are some chemicals in Pepsi and Mt.Dew that is super bad for you and the growing little one!

I still drink caffiene. Always have and always will. Caffiene plays a big part in keeping my migraines away. I've definitley cut back since I got pregnant but one can of Pepsi or Mt Dew a day is not going to hurt me. I also recommend the sparkling water as a substitute.
Oh man do I know the feeling! Hubby and I just went to the diner. He ordered a soda while I got water and I ended up drinking his. I just crave that bubbly deliciousness (especially fountain soda) and get so sick of water. He told me I look like an addict when I'm drinking it now bc I cherish every sip lol.
I try to drink caffeine free soda or sparkling water. I love the target brand sparkling waters. They are like $.69 for a bottle and very yummy. Otherwise I've been doing lots of juices. I've been great since cutting off my diet coke habit or several cans a day. With DS I got the worst headaches when I cut out caffeine that my doc recommended I still have some but limit my intake. So far this pregnancy no headaches
At my local grocery store you can get sparkling fruit juice. They're tiny (only 8 oz) but sooo good. Got some peach and mango for myself a few days ago. I'm also drinking a lot of hot chocolate, since apparently coffee gives me a sick stomach.

I quit soda 5 years ago (I was drinking 4-5 diet sodas/day). But I am struggling giving up coffee again.
Surprisingly, I have been doing ok with getting decaf and still get a regular coffee here and there. I still can't wait to go back to the real thing.
