Would You Pay $500 for a Concert?

Beyonce and Jay-z's Tour is coming up and tickets are anywhere from $500-$1,750. For those prices I hope they're sending clones home with the people that attend. I don't think I'd pay that much even if I didn't have a child.

  • Not $500. I am considering paying $200 for Billy Joel at Fenway (and going by myself because I don't want to pay another $200 for H, who doesn't have the same love for him that I do.)

  • Not for that one.

Michael Jackson?  Madonna?  NFL game?  Yes.

Yes!! I would pay that much for Michael Jackson too.

  • If it was someone I loved and have always wanted to see, and I had the extra $$$, then yes I would. But not for Beyoncé or Jay-Z. I can't believe that $500 is the STARTING price
  • I would not pay that much to see anyone, probably.  I just couldn't justify the cost.  I definitely would not pay that to see them.  My limit is probably 200 or 250, but even that is pushing it.  Most of the life acts I'd go to see aren't that big anyway, and wouldn't be able to charge that much.

I couldn't believe it either! But I exaggerated a little. The cheapest seat was $495.00.

  • Nope! The most I would probably pay for a concert, not them, is $200-250 and that is ONLY a select few and if it was the final tour ever.

  • I'd pay $500 pp to see someone iconic (The Beatles, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Etc). I don't consider Jay-Z and Beyoncé iconic and I wouldn't be willing to spend that much to see them.
  • I'm supposed to be receiving a settlement from my car accident and 1D is playing two cities in my state. I've considered spending ridiculously embarrassing amounts of money to get a front row ticket for a me and a friend to go (none of my friends even like 1D). The tickets on resale sites are over 1K.

I probably won't actually do it but if I had a lot of disposable income, hell yes id spend $500 to see certain bands.

Let's be honest, you would settle for a butt grab.

    lol, true.

I was just thinking and wondering how much I wouldn't pay to make out with Harry. I haven't come up with a number yet. I think I would have to bow out around the $2K mark.

I thought you said $25k and I was like daaamn @mrsbadkat is ballin.

  • @Holls2011‌ hahahahahaha I totally thought Coachella was like a clothing brand, not a singer. I am so out of touch with the music industry lol

I would pay $500 for a concert/meet & greet with Steven Tyler & Tom Petty. & that's combined 2 for the price of 1 lol

Lol ok I'm not THAT out of touch lol but for some reason thought it was like a clothing line spinoff from the coach brand. I accept that I am quite possibly the lamest person on this board! :o)

  • @ready-or-not‌ Coachella is a music festival with a bunch of artists, not just one person. (Trying to keep you in touch. :)

  • I love Beyoncé & Jayz. Seeing they're a couple, I assume the ticket prices are for couples, right? ?!?!/sarcasm

    No seriously. Because no.
Shit, $250 a ticket is too rich for my blood
  • I couldn't justify that for a concert. I don't even think I could justify that if it was a charity event.

  • I think I paid about $200 to see Paul McCartney at Fenway (which was amazing) but that's my limit.  I'd pay that much for some "rose from the dead" people like Michael Jackson or the reunited Beatles :)

We should've done a Boston area gtg! I was in the same boat but ended up getting tix with friends.

Sorry this is way late. Apparently it's been sitting in here as a draft for a day or so.
  • @Soxgirl07‌ Oh too bad! I definitely would've gone with you! I'll let you know if I end up going (most likely, I am obsessed with Billy Joel!)
