I'm new to theis baby thing and I've researched as much as I can but I need input. Based on my LMP I should be 7 weeks today. Clearly there has to be a margin for error and other factors, but how much? My ultrasound today was unable to see any more than a gestational sac that measured around 5.5 weeks. Nothing else. My doctor saw me right after he got the U/S report and took more blood to check my levels (which I'll call and get tomorrow). So for now I'm left with two scenarios...either I ovulated late and I'm really only 5.5 weeks (which would be so GREAT) or there is a problem and the pregnancy is not progressing as it should be. 24 hours is a hell of a long time to wait for a 39 year old FTM. Hoping it's more common than not that the EDD is inaccurate and that I'm going to spend the rest of today and tomorrow morning worrying for nothing.
ETA: I got the bloodwork results back today. hCG 6001 - up from 3400 5 days ago. Progesterone at 10.6. Scheduled another u/s for Tuesday. I'm overthinking and over researching. It's all a little too much right now. I read one post and feel hopeful and the next I'm in tears thinking the worst. Anyway...that's my update. Hoping for some good news next week.

I agree. Most practices around me won't do just abdominal if it's under 12 weeks. That's most likely the reason for not seeing much. Try not to worry Hun.
