Baby Names

Girl names

edited April 2014 in Baby Names
We are team green, but we are looking into options for boys and girls. This poll is for girl names.

DD is Stella Gwen. I would also love other suggestions and middle name suggestions. Thanks!

None of them even come close to the loveliness that is Stella Gwen.

    Spencer?!? For real?

This. I love Stella. Other names I like: Bianca, Rosa, Clara, Celia, Chiara, Gioia. Stella is feminine. Your poll choices are not.

Sloane, but I don't really think any of those names "pair" well with Stella.  I just like Sloane best from that list.

I love Stella with other quirky, underused vintage-y names like Ruby, Tessa, Clara, Daisy, Vera, Edith, Matilda and Bianca.

I was worried about that, too. It took me the entire pregnancy to decide on her name. I think I'm just going through a trendy phase...

I love Edith! Thank you! What middle names do you think would sound nice with Edith?

    Edit: Bianca is also nice!

  • I adore your daughter's name, but didn't adore any of these. Harper was my fave of them. Spencer was my least fave, followed by Sloane. Love some of the suggested names, especially Ruby, Clara, or Matilda. Also love Ivy with Stella. Good luck!

Stella is so lovely, but these options are terrible.
  • Stella and Edith make a lovely sibset.
  • I like Stella but I agree none of the names in the poll go with it at all; way too masculine. Not a fan of Edith (though I like Edie) but I love Lucy, Charlotte, Nora, Eliza, and Eve.

  • Sorry- SS, I can't vote. I really don't like any of these on a girl.
Your DD has such a pretty name.. none of these remotely go with hers.

  • I do like Edith.  I know some pps in the past have said Edith is TOO old ladyish, but I think it's pretty.

I agree. Stella is so pretty, I think you need another lovely name to go with it. I'd definitely feel like I got the short end of the stick if I had one of those names (Especially Spencer!) with a sister named Stella.

Violet was the first thing that came to mind as a sibset. Others:
    Arden
    Love PP's suggestion of Bianca
    Camille
    Hailey
    Eleanor
    Maeve
