First u/s is at 3:50p EST, so any good vibes or T&Ps you can send my way about that time would be awesome! I'm not crazy nervous, because I've generally felt pretty okay about this pregnancy, but we all know too well that anything can happen.
Also, looks like we're going to have to let the cat out of the bag sooner than expected; my blump is out of control. A coworker who knows I'm pregnant asked me if I'd told everyone else since I was wearing an outfit that showed off my blump. Umm... no. I wore this loose top and flowy skirt to cover it up. She said it was really obvious... *face palm* Ah well, not sure what I was expecting from baby#2/pregnancy#4, but I guess hiding it for a few more weeks is out of the question.
Anywho, thanks for the vibes and I'll update when I get back!
UPDATE:
Kind of a crazy appointment! We met with the nurse, did blood work, had the sono, then met with the doc, so almost 2 hours total! According to the u/s, I'm measuring a couple days behind (6w4d instead of 7w) but I thought I'd ovulated two eggs, so the dates add up if this baby was from the second egg. There was also a mass that the sono tech couldn't identify, but my OB thinks it is a vanishing twin, so that would have been the first egg. We got to see the heartbeat, 122bpm, and everything looks good. I go back in 3 weeks for a repeat sono to see if the twin gets reabsorbed. Also, we discussed the fact that I'll probably need progesterone shots starting at 16wks because of my history with preterm labor. He also suggested that I not run the half-marathon this weekend because he doesn't want me overheating and b/c of my history of m/c. Best part, other than seeing/hearing that little heartbeat, was the rainbow arcing across the sky as we drove home. A rainbow for our rainbow baby. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers and vibes!
