Mother's Day gifts...

DH keeps asking me what I want for Mother's Day and, as I've never been a mom before, I have no idea what to say! What are you getting for Mother's Day? 

BTW, J was born on 5/9 but DH didn't even think about getting me a Mother's Day gift last year... hmmmm......

    My husband is giving me a couple baby free hours. He's going to take DS out so I can enjoy some alone time.

    I'm hoping to get a new VS bra and some slippers. My old bras are worn out and I'm over wearing nursing bras and done breastfeeding. Also, if I don't get anything at all but hugs from LO and DH, that will be fine too!

    I would definitely love a professional massage at a spa!  But I know DH isn't clever enough to make that happen...=(

    I have no idea, dh loves to surprise me. I know his mom kept talking to me about James Avery and it seemed like she was trying to figure out what pieces I liked...but who knows. I've been thinking about what to get my mom and dhs mom lol

    I really want a new "diaper bag". Since R is bigger now and requires so much less stuff I don't want to drag around the big diaper bag. We're going on vacation this weekend and there is a great Coach outlet and I have a coupon I got in an email. I'm hoping to find a nice big tote that I can just turn into a mom purse. I know I'll get flowers because DH always likes to get flowers.

    I scheduled a Mother's Day mini photo shoot with her birth/1st year photographer. I told him that could count as my gift. :)

    This Mother's Day I asked him to donate the money he would have spent on me to race for the cure. One of my friends moms wa just diagnosed as well as my grandma was a survivor. I don't really need anything so I would rather the money go to a good cause.

    This is probably more of a FFFC, but I already bought myself 2 Mother's Day gifts. :\">

    First, I saw that an online photography company was having a sale on their DSLR photography lessons, so DH said that I should buy them for myself.

    Then, a few weeks ago I saw that Ellevil had some of their $180 wraps on sale for $65, so I bought myself one on an impulse. I've really been wanting a wrap but couldn't justify spending $200, so I had to go for it. Right?

    I don't think they are overly expensive, really. If your DH is a jewelry guy and would buy you a $100 pendent necklace or something personally I'd rather give some direction to something I would like more. the bracelet can be only as expensive as you make it. The bracelet itself starts at like $40 for a leather one and if you get one charm to start that's less than $100 total, which isn't a bad deal on a nice piece of jewelry.

    One of my good friends has one, though, and she complains that her DH uses it as a crutch gift now and she gets a charm for like every occasion and nothing else. That's why I guided my DH to do a mother's day tradition so he wouldn't just get me charms for everything haha.
    All very good points! And I do really like the look of the double leather ones, which are a little cheaper. 

    Such a good idea with the mother's day tradition too. I was kinda thinking that also...Every occasion I would be like "oh, hmm, gee I wonder what this could be."  hahaha

    I would love anything. Dh sucks at gifts etc. In the past I think we are at about 20% for him remembering. I love cards, flowers and all the somewhat chessy stuff so its pretty easy to get me anything. I also work night shift the night before so if he wanted to do breakfast in bed it wouldn't be until like 2 in the afternoon. We'll see what happens but honestly I don't have high hopes.

    I jokingly told H last night that I'd like a ring with O's birthstone... It took him a few seconds to realize April is diamond... Then we both laughed for a bit. I haven't earned a paycheck since fall. My H is very thoughtful, so I'm sure it will be something sweet. This is my 2nd Mother's Day though.

    This is exactly what I asked for too. I haven't used a purse since the day she was born, I just shoved everything in the diaper bag. But now I tend to forget everything because I don't take the diaper bag everywhere I go now since she doesn't require much.
