First, it was a 60 hour work week with a baby who had explosive diarrhea, wasn't sleeping, and was on purée strike (thanks, immunizations).
Then it was the 70 hour work week that ended with my 6-year old puking errywhere! Seriously, I was THIS close to taking him to the ER, if he didn't start keeping liquids down. Then we almost went again because he said his neck hurt - I was so scared he had meningitis! My sister went deaf from meningitis! Somehow amidst the chaos of getting everyone dressed and loaded up, he managed to clarify his throat hurt, which I'm sure was from so much vomiting. Poor baby!
I finally get 2 full days off and I have to scrub puke and deal with a clingy baby (I'm guessing because I was gone so much, he wanted Mama and Mama only!).
I had a bit of a melt down last night. I'm not so great about asking for help but I finally told DH that I just need him to pick something each day that he is going to do with LO so I can have a break. He is usually great but has a huge exam coming up and really needs to study. Then LO was up a million times overnight and DH fell asleep on the couch. When I got up at 1:45 when LO started crying I saw Dh walking into her room so I went back to bed. I'm not sure this was at all coherent. Did I mention that I'm tired?
I'm also super excited about the Boston GTG on Sunday!
I'm tired .. Kitchen is a mess and I don't even care right now... Tuesdays I drag DD to my moms in the am and take care of mom , make lunch and all while making sure DD doesn't have a meltdown ... I'm glad she's asleep! I need a drink
At the end of each day, when my baby is asleep for the night, I think about how he had a bath, ate homemade puréed vegetables, and rocked an adorable outfit. And then I realize. My baby is cleaner than I am, eats healthier foods than I do, and is more stylish than I will ever be.
I took a huge step out of my comfort zone and messaged a friend of mine who I haven't talked to/heard from in 2 yrs. I was her maid of honor, we were close before drama llama happened. She messaged back and I think we may be able to reconnect.
I have a stomach bug and a super clingy baby who has decided that cool babies don't need naps. I'd stay in bed cuddling her all day, but getting up to run to the bathroom quickly gets challenging when I either have to put her in the crib first, or bring her in with me. Blah.
Which one? Mine stopped liking hers. Now will use me as one all the time
Nuk 6-18 mo. She used advent for two weeks as a nb and hasn't liked one until today.
Thanks! I almost bought that one today but went with the nuby instead. I've tried 3 different ones now. Up until 2weeks ago she took the Philips AVENT Soothies.
I'm a nervous wreck. Dd is asleep in her crib on her belly. She woke up once cried for a second and went back to sleep...on her own! She sleeps on her belly in daycare all the time but I've never let her do it at home unless she,s right next to me the entire time. I'm contemplating waking her up and putting her on her back. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Deft leave her.
@sleepy33 you think its okay even if she doesn't really roll from belly to back? She's only done it a couple of times.

They say once they can roll themselves to their bellies, it's ok to leave them there. Mine sleeps on his belly all the time.

@deedee1017 those babies love that belly sleeping! I think they feel more secure or something, don't startle themselves awake by waving their arms all around or something...anyway, deft leave sleeping baby asleep. And try to relax, it will get less stressful! Enjoy the sleep
H had a bad scare today, while I was at work. Jace choked on a piece of toast. Not a gag, but a turning blue and call 911 scare. He kept his cool and was able to dislodge it, as taught in our first aid class. He and operator were able to cancel the ambulance and Jace is fine. Super scary. He really does very well with his eating, but today got a little too eager. I'm still really upset, but trying to keep my cool.
Positive thing: Jace also caught on to peek-a-boo today and while he is not doing it himself, he belly laughs like it is the funniest thing ever and tries to steal the blanket to find you sooner.
@Ellaf it's totally pronounced roshay. At least that's how it is on the commercials in Montreal.
I have the curious George theme song stuck in my headand its keeping me awake. "Curious...it's so wondrous...I like curious George". I know the lyrics in my head are wrong.
I have another random:
George clooney earned major awesome points with me for picking a smart woman. All these beautiful Hollywood ladies had him (and all of us) convinced he would never marry again, but all he needed was some smarts to hit the spot. I love that he is now engaged to an attractive human rights attorney. It bumped him up a few notches in my book.
As a side note, it must feel so awesome to be THE woman who got Clooney to propose, but how much more awesome would it be if she was the woman who got him to propose AND turned him down? I think they might have erected a statue of her in the Vatican or something. Lol
@deedee1017 did you let O sleep on her belly? Emma always rolls onto her belly at night too now, but i just leave her. I've only seen her roll belly to back a handful of times
@carawasa I did and I was amazed when she got up at 3:30 and was flipped back over. I was so excited I said to my husband, "I can't believe Olivia rolled over!" He was like, "umm, no. She slept on her belly for 45 minutes and was up again. I put her back down on her back." :-??

I also pronounce it "roshay"... But I used to leave the T silent in Moët until I was harshly corrected so I just assumed I made everything too French.
Our annual fundraiser is this Saturday, and the weather forecast is 77 and sunny. I am so jazzed!! Last year, it was chilly and drizzly. Andplusalso, I think we are going to raise #allthemoney
i used expensive nail polish (non-drugstore types) for the first time yesterday......I UNDERSTAND THE HYPE NOW. the color is gorgeous, it was thick and coated well. i love it. i'm too lazy to paint my nails regularly, but i'm still going to be poor buying all the colors.
I was watching a video on youtube of a baby getting her ears pierced. My stomach started turning. They got close to her, she started crying, my stomach was in knots. The baby flinched and I jumped! I couldn't watch it anymore and then... I realized all they were doing was putting the mark on her ear. X_X
Everytime I see one of you guyes with the Wolfpack sig I pee my pants a little thinking it is one of my old crew from 2 years ago when we had this. Then I cry a little and move on. I may have made up that part about crying...

Glad everyone is ok!
