OMG pressure!!!

I am having super pressure down low-like below my underwear line-feels like this baby is falling out!! It is worse when standing up or walking (makes me walk a little different because it's so uncomfortable!!) normal or not? If it's normal-what can I do to help?? I haven't had any bleeding or anything-some cramping but not bad. I'm probably overreacting but it's soo uncomfortable-borderline painful!

Re: OMG pressure!!!

  • When in doubt, call. It can't hurt. :)

  • Call your doctor to get some advices.
  • Sounds like it's just the baby in a weird position. Definitely call your ob if your worried maybe try some light stretching, walking, or eating some sugar to try and see if you can get them to move in the mean time
  • I have had a lot of pressure, especially if I crouch down. I have mentioned it to my dr who didn't seemed concerned, but at that same appt she was worried about another unrelated problem. I am going to mention it again but it seems that 2nd time moms (or more) have more pressure.

  • It could be the position, but I was told in my case (due to a short cervix) to call if I have that feeling because it could be the cervix thinning too much and the baby putting a lot of pressure on it.

  • I have been having alot of pressure the last few weeks and was actually told to go to the ER, which then landed me in L&D on Friday. Everything checked out fine, but they said it could be cause for concern.  After getting an ultrasound to check my cervix (prior history of preterm labor and incompetent cervix), everything seems fine. They are attributing to the pressure alot from how she is sitting, which is butt down on my cervix. I would call for piece of mind.

  • I've been having major pressure and that feeling the baby is going to fall out too--for prob the last two-ish weeks. At my a/s they said his head was super low and that's what it's causing that. They weren't concerned at all. It's not comfortable but atleast nothing is wrong! Hopefully that's exactly what it is for you too!
  • Thanks for all the advice guys!! I'm pretty sure it is because he is butt down- and I actually have my a/s appt on Thursday. He has been moving around and it lets up a bit, but I think he has just found a spot that makes him comfortable!! Unfortunately it doesn't make me comfortable lol!! I figure since it lets up when he moves around I will just wait and bring it up with my dr on Thursday!!
  • I had a uti when I had a ton of pressure in my pelvic region.  Just another thing to think about, but it is most likely babies position.

  • Sounds like my entire last pregnancy - I walked around the whole time with hip, pelvis pain, feeling like my ute was falling out.  So far that hasn't been an issue this time.  Call your doc, but also maybe look into a support belt to help relieve some of the pressure/ weight from your load-bearing joints!
