Birth month June 2014 board

Went on the June birth month board and posted what I thought was just a harmless post about feeling like I'm nearing the end and possible early labor... I was ripped apart! Still trying to figure out what nerve I hit with everyone. I have posted in this forum and never got nasty response. Thank you, mamas

  • I was very straightforward about why your post was a problem. And we just like to be snarky, salty hoes at the same time.

Thank you @rockopera‌! And for those of you who wanna see. This is the bomb she dropped on our board: https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12329623/anyone-feel-like-they-won-t-make-it-til-june
We're two months from our delivery month and had yet another premie born today.

ETA: we didn't even have our flame throwers turned on high. Sheesh. Put on your big girl panties and deal with it.

I stole these from @izzetoot‌, she can have them
  • There is nothing wrong with what she said. She was expressing worries that she is having the same symptoms as she did when she had her first baby a month early. I realize we are all in our third trimester but that doesn't give you the excuse to be rude to a mom who was posting out of worry and needing advice and support from other moms. Shame on every single one of you that have anything negative to say about a mom who came here for help.
  • All you so called "moms" need to grow up and stop acting like children. She was worried and asking for help and she gets harassed instead? Seriously? This is the example we want set for our children? Grown women cyber bullying? Shame....
  • @chickpea912‌ Couldn't have said it better!
  • I agree with jennifermorse. The veterans on this board acknowledge the OP's lack of knowledge and then tear her apart for it. I've been reading the Bump website my whole pregnancy (due in June as well), and was excited to finally find a post related to my birth month. I am not a savvy chat thread person. And after seeing the reaction to one person's question, I'm pretty sure I don't want to become one now.

This should be a safe place for folks to ask questions. That's what you're all here for. So telling her to ask her OB makes everyone sound hypocritical. I know I won't make friends with this post, but I am a nurse and I get what you might consider "dumb" questions pretty frequently. It's no reason to berate the newcomer...

By the way, I went to the original thread and I had to read through 30 responses to figure out why everyone was so pissed. I don't blame her for coming to another thread for clarification. I was confused, too.
