Introducing myself

XPed on saif Hi My was born February 17 at 31 weeks. I had PROM on February 13, so I rushed to my nearest major hospital. They informed me there was no room in any of the nicus in my province. So I was put on the airplane and sent to the next province over. He was born four days later after going into labor on my own on bed rest. He was born a tiny 3lbs 6oz & 16 inches long. We were in the NICU a total of 38 days before we were released home. We came home for a whole six hours and while I was feeding him he started shaking, stopped breathing and turned blue. We had to call emergency services and give him mouth to mouth. We were taken to the Children's Hospital where we stayed for another five days. They did not find anything majorly wrong they believe it was reflux that he choked on. He is now just over 2 months old & weighing 5lbs 13oz. He has had his RSV immunization but still caught RSV. Thankfully it has been minor. Otherwise feeding is going well & we are thrilled. His big sisters adore him!!

Congrats and welcome! Sorry your LO got RSV, but glad it's been relatively minor. That sucks you had to be transferred to another province. At one point during our NICU stay they were transferring babies to another city and I thought that was bad! Happy to hear he's home now!

Welcome! I'm sorry you had such a rough birth experience and homecoming! That sounds terrifying! I'm glad he's doing well now, though. My dd is a 31 weeker, too, now 11 months and mostly caught up except for size. Enjoy your little boy!!

@hopingformore - I remember you too! We had 2 boys, 1 girl, born at 27+2 on Christmas eve. All have been home for about a month now. It's a zoo!!

@rcnavywife‌ - Huge congrats!! I can imagine things must be crazy. I have my 2 youngest 14 months apart and I am nuts. 3 babies I'm imagining is just as likely to cause insanity!
