So this is weird to talk about but lately when we get DS undressed for his bath and take his diaper off he freaks out and walks bowlegged to the bath tub. He seriously hates it, I think he's afraid of his private parts and have no idea what to do?? I feel bad because he acts scared and terrified and once he sits down in the tub he is fine. Help!!

    I guess my kid is just weird, I feel like i never get responses to any of my stuff. Either that or this board really is dead.

    Sorry. My boy is only 11 months so I have no advice. Maybe ask the pedi?

    Thanks ladies, I'm going to check and see if anyone will respond on parenting board. I called the nurse yesterday and she acted like he might just be more aware of his body and freaked out and hopefully it'll go away. I feel bad for him, he seems scared :(

    I've never seen DS do anything like this. My only thoughts are, like the nurse said, he's more aware of his body and maybe something hurts? Did he get much diaper-fee time when he was younger? Maybe he just thinks it's weird to be without?

    I was wondering that too, T! He never has been a naked kid, just a diaper but that's it.

    how long has he been doing it?  Does he have any response if you ask him why he walks like that? Or does he feel any "owies" when his diaper is off?

    Just thinking out loud what I would do if I ever saw Colton doing that. He's more of the run out to the living room yelling "Mommy me nakie!" kind of boy right now.

    I've noticed it the last week or so, he cries a lot so it's hard to know why. He's still behind on talking so he doesn't say why or anything. I wish he was the kid that liked being naked and not screaming. Potty training is going to be awesome....
