@hubbs173 - how did Henry's scan go on Monday? Is that kid like 10 pounds by now because he was growing like a week last time!

What else is new?

@xnbride - how is Evangeline? How is her breathing? Still rocking that CPAP with low oxygen levels?

@dmizak - how is Kolt doing? (Did I spell his name right?) How is his swelling and pain management?

@supgabs - What's new with Colton? Any news on the calcium in his kidney? Is he still desatting? (not totally sure if that is a real word) How are your own appointments/treatments going?

@babybean82 - how are Liam's bradys? Did the nipple shield help with his latch?

@kittylove72 - how's Jacob doing? Still breathing well and everything?

Please feel free to share anything you like/ignore my questions entirely. This is just what I had written down from last week. Yes, I am that creepy. All of you ladies are doing such an amazing job. If you are there every day, every other day, once a week - it is awesome and you are awesome. Be kind to yourselves and know that all of June 14 is thinking of you and praying for you and your LOs. ::drops mic:: flerl out.

Henry is doing great!! And despite him gaining weight like crazy, he is not 10 lbs yet!! Lol. He is 4lbs 6.2 oz!! He is eating like a champ! His head ultrasound came back clear, YAY!!!!!!

His dr said that's the best news he can give us at this point but it doesn't mean he won't have any developmental issues down the road. He had his retinas checked yesterday and they are immature (what they should be at his age) and will get rechecked in two weeks. They discontinued his sodium supplement on Tues and I believe they are going to recheck his sodium levels on Fri to make sure it's still where it should be.

I hope all the other preemie babies are doing great!! Looking forward to the updates!!!!

@hubbs173 - dang, that kid is like a bodybuilder. So awesome about the clear scan!!! That is the best news! And those eye exams… ugh. They are the woooorst. But I'm glad everything looks normal. DS had the immaturity thing until he was about 8 months (4.5 adjusted) and then all was well! Which is not meaningful but we can pretend it is

I am creepy… just for different reasons. Muahaha. And I believe @megk82 was the person who originally suggested the thread! I just post it because all my friends live in the computer.

Thanks for asking @flerlgirl‌, and @MegK82‌.

Kolt is still improving everyday. It's baby steps, but we sure count our blessings everyday.

His chest tube output picked up last night. Because of the increase they do not want to start feeding him just yet. Apparently when you digestive system kicks in gear, so will your lymphatic system, and that's what causes the fluid to build up in his thoracic cavity. So, until the fluid output from his chest tubes is consistently low, feedings will be postponed. Possibly by early next week.

Otherwise, his labs look great! His protein, kidney function labs, blood counts, and chemistries are either in the normal level or trending that way.

He also lost 300 grams as of this morning and now weighs 4 lbs 11 oz. Looking much skinnier.

They have upped his morphine drip so he does seem much more comfortable, which is a relief.

He was finally able to open his eyes just a couple days ago. Here he is telling his Dad that the nurse is bugging him.

@dmizak - what an adorable guy!! I love that look. Awesome about his labs! That's fabulous! Sorry he has to wait to eat, though. FX for next week to be the week that he can start!

Quick update (see longer update in June PGAL thread)
Henry is now 4 lbs 8 oz! They are watching his belly button cuz it might be a small hernia. And they are adding a thyroid check to his tues bloodwork cuz his bloodwork sent to the state came back abnormal twice for thyroid. He may be hypothyroid, but I'll keep you all posted!

Not too much is new with Colton. He's still doing really well

They took him off the cannula and he was doing sooo well when I saw him yesterday. We got some awesome KC time and he only desatted (totally a word;) ) twice during the end/after his feeding!! No news on his kidney. He'll have another ultrasound in the near future though. Either today or tomorrow he has an eye exam. Hoping for normal eyes and that the exam is not too stressful for my little dude.

My appointments are going well. My blood counts are lowlowlow and we're hoping I'll be in remission by May 6th otherwise we are going to prepare to do a bone marrow transplant (ugh). I feel like crap most of the time but that's to be expected. I still have my hair though~

@supgabs - holy cute baby, Batman! He is too cute! And such great news that is on room air with no support!! He is clearly a superhero. The eye exam is worse for the parents than for the babies - just don't look! It doesn't hurt them but it's kind of freaky to watch.

SO glad you are doing well! I will be praying for you to be in remission on the 6th! And I'm glad you have your hair, although I'm sure you would also look spectacular in a glittery wig. You should consider that anyway

Henry is up to 4lbs 12oz and they removed his nasal cannula today!! He is getting big so fast! I think the end of this week they will try bottle feeding!!!

Ok ladies, officially joining the club! Max is doing well. He no longer is getting IV fluids because he is eating every 3 hours like a champ! He actually gained 6 ounces in his first day of life, but they said he could still lose some. Also they have no reason to believe he has an infection so he will likely have the IV removed completely. He is under a light right now to treat jaundice. We are really hopeful that he can come home next week. I am totally in love with him!!! I promise pictures later
