Lingerie shower

I got invited to a bridal shower and it's a lingerie shower. Has anyone had one or been to one? My thoughts are (bc I'm usually covered in food & in yoga pants) what are you going to do with all this lingerie? Also how much is the norm to spend? I was just looking on amazon and can get some for 20$ is that being cheap?

I was thinking of a gift certificate too.. I don't know why thought of buying something someone will wear in the bedroom makes me uncomfortable. My mil bought me lingerie when we got married and everytime I would go near it I would think of her and it was too weird to wear

I went to one for a cousin - she got a few racy things, but also several gift cards, several cute everyday undies, and some related non-lingerie things like lotions and pampering supplies. You could go that route if you want to do a gift instead of a GC, but I think you can't go wrong with a GC.

How much do you think is appropriate for a gift card? We use to work together before I had the baby, I am closer to the groom who I also worked with.

Yeah I would do a gift card, basket of lotions/oils etc or just buy some fun underwear. Just make sure she can return them if necessary.

Lingerie showers sound so awkward! Is this combined with a bachelorette party? I would totally go the yoga pants route. She'll be thankful! And what guy doesn't love yoga pants?! It's a challenge keeping DH away when I'm in mine.

BTW this reminds me of when my grandma got me lingerie for Christmas. My sis got flannel pajamas. Hilarious. FWIW she always told me I was her favorite and started her days with vodka. We were 2 of a kind....

I got my friend an awesome whip with rhinestones... bwahahha.... Not lingerie but she got plenty of that.
