Teeth brushing

I've been trying to brush her teeth(gums) twice a day but haven't been 100% consistent. DD enjoys it so it gives us a little something extra to keep busy with during the day.. Not that I don't have a million and 2 other things to do but I'm trying to get her used to it after her first solid meal and before bed.

So out of curiosity.. How many times do you brush LO's teeth/gums? (No sign of any teeth here)

    Usually as part of our bedtime / bath routine. No teeth yet either.

    We do a quick swipe with a baby tooth brush as a part of bedtime routine. She has two bottom teeth. My friend said one of the big thing she regrets is not introducing brushing routine earlier for her toddler. I'm not convinced it's gonna make a difference, toddlers will be toddlers. But I'll keep brushing anyway :)

    -My step-daughter is 12 years old.

    -BFP #1 on 9/2/12, D&C 10/18/12 no heartbeat on US @ 10 weeks.

    -BFP #2 on 1/7/13, R was born on 9/22/13 via C-Section

    Never & she has 2 teeth. Did your ped recommend this? Only asking because ours never mentioned it.

    We started with y toddler when she ate more table food maybe around 10 mo. Since then she has gone through phases where she loves it and then a month later absolutely hates it. Some nights my husband brushes her teeth while I hold down her arms. It's rough! So you are very correct that toddlers will be toddlers!

    Brush her toothless gums as part of our bathtime/bed time routine. She loves it and giggles when the soft brush touches her gums so it's pretty fun for me too :)

    I try to do it every night as part of bedtime but sometimes she falls asleep before I start the routine with my toddler. On those nights I just skip it.

    Our home nurse recommended I brush once a day at about 3 months, but now that she's eating solids she said I should consistently brush twice a day because the sugar can penetrate the gums even if she doesn't have teeth. (I didn't do any research on this, and just figure why not can't hurt, but some of the things she tells me are questionable)

    She said a wet wash cloth is perfect too if I don't use the actual tooth brush but I've been trying to get her used to the feeling of the bristles.

    Twice a day, after her breakfast and then after dinner. She has two bottom ones but I brush her top and bottom gums too.

    I try to do it daily, but ends up being a couple times a week... i just brush his actual teeth; i don't do the gums.
