NCDR Hypothetical WWYD?

I had a really weird dream last night. Without getting into all the boring details, it boiled down to the fact that I caused a car wreck that critically injured a man, but I didn't know about it until later. In the dream, I had been drinking and driving. When I found out what happened, my first urge was to turn myself in, but then I realized this would mean jail time and possibly losing my son. This morning I am still pondering the question...if I did something terrible and got away with it, would I fess up and face the music or reform myself and wind up rotting in self-recriminiation?

    If I somehow inadvertently and accidentally caused the death of someone (which drinking and driving is totally not applicable to me and is IMO not an accidental death but a conscious choice that someone makes to endanger themselves and others) I would turn myself in.

    I have a ton of reasons for that, but mainly there would be a family that would never get the closure needed from the death of a loved one if I selfishly kept quiet.

    geez Jane! that's a nightmare!! sorry you had this dream...I would have to turn myself in as well. Things eat me alive. And I'm not a very good liar either.

    Thanks for the personal invite @TJ1979‌ Haven't read it, and honestly had no idea what it was about. I just looked it up on amazon and bought it. It looks like fun. I guess I will join the book club after all! :)
