Breastfeeding

Solid foods

Hi, my LO is 6 months old. We've been doing solids now since she's 5 months. She gets her oatmeal/or rice in morning and evening her fruit or vegetable. She breastfeeds every 3-4 hours. We're having sleeping issues, but that's a whole other topic that I am working on. I feel like she's always hungry at night but I know she can go without it too. My question is should I be introducing a lunch as well? And/or another grain? Older mothers have told me too, but than again that's what they did years ago and I know things have changed. Just curious what other mothers are doing and do you have a feeding schedule with your 6 month old? Thank you in advance!

Re: Solid foods

  • She wakes up 2ox in the middle of the night. :( yeah it's that serious. I'm going to try and feed her more durning day then. The doctor told me she technically can go 10 hours to sleep at night without eating. So I was a but confused. Thank you I'm going to try and nurse more and see how that works.

  • Two times a night is just fine at that age.  6 months is still really young.
  • Two times would be amazing ladies! I meant 20 times, yes, TWENTY! I'm fixing that issue though. Thanks for the advice, in going to try to feed more throughout the day
