Specifically the Jackson area?! Just taking a shot here. I checked out the local Tennessee board but it was pretty dead. We are moving from the Chicagoland area to Jackson next month. I'm mostly looking for hospital/doctor recommendations. I love my current doctor (who also delivered my son) and I'm so sad to leave her. Hoping I find someone good down there.
Re: Anyone in W. Tennessee? Need a doctor!
My midwife's backing OB is totally great- he is with the Jackson Clinic, and he is WONDERFUL. His name is Dr. Welsch.
I also love Dr. Lane Williams, who works at Regional Women's Clinic. (He was my OB before I got pregnant, but now I use a great midwife- and if you need info on her, I'd be happy to share, too!)
As far as hospitals go, there are two here, and if you are looking for a smaller hospital, Regional Hospital of Jackson is where you'd want to go. Jackson Madison County General Hospital ("General") is the larger of the two. Otherwise, I'd say they are pretty comparable, and a lot of docs/specialists have privileges at either place.
Good luck! I'd love to help with any other questions you have about Jackson (I've lived here since 2005)- feel free to ask

I'd love to know which hospital and if he recommends it for labor/delivery. Thank you so much!
