DS pretty much weaned himself from nursing at 10 months. I thought it was just a strike due to teething pain, but he doesn't seem to be coming back. I have been pumping for him 100%, and plan to until at least his birthday in a couple of weeks. I am renting a pump, so I am going to keep it an extra month to wean myself from pumping. EPing has been more exhausting for me than having a newborn, so I would like to be done with it, even though I am really bummed to not be breastfeeding him any longer.
I currently pump (and he drinks) 30 oz./day, which I know is way more than an 11-month old should! Am I going to have major hormonal problems if I go down to nothing too quickly? How long should I plan the pump weaning process to take so I don't have any problems with engorgement, mastitis, etc?
