Hello friends.
1. I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack, after a long hiatus. Sorry to disappear! Would anyone like to summarize all the juiciness that has happened while I was away? And for those who wondered--I successfully defended my Master's thesis on Wednesday! It's been a good week.
2. Aden & Anais (the original, boutique ones, not the "made for Target/BRU/etc." version) swaddle blankets are on an insane sale on Amazon.com right now, but only in certain colors. They're usually $49.99, and today some of them are $34.99! This morning I bought the "jungle jam" set, but that appears to already be back to $50. Here's a link to at least one color that appears to still be on sale. These blankets are BANGIN'. We've bought a few already, and they're amazingly soft--especially after washing. I'm a FTM, so I can't speak to how well they work as swaddles, but they're soft, light, and seem perfect for a summer LO!

I have 6 A&A swaddle blankets so really couldn't justify another pack of those, even though I love the bejeweled set. *sigh*
I couldn't choose between medallion or bejeweled and ended up getting bejeweled. Thanks for the head's up! I've been lusting over the dream blankets for a while now and the only pattern they have that's still $34.99 is the one I love! (Medallion) I couldn't process spending $50 on a blanket but can handle $35 a bit more
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Just wanted to say, there isn't much you NEED with a new baby. Honestly. You need something for them to sleep in, some clothes, some diapers, a carseat. Everything else is bonus. You probably don't NEED these blankets. They are nice - I do find a multitude of uses for them and M, who is 3 1/2, still loves to have one in her bed from time to time.
Before anyone judges and says huh that isn't cheap crib bedding - I have a friend that works for best buy and was able to order these items for me online with her staff discount bringing it down to almost half the price!
