Sorry ladies for posting this so late! Was traveling for work this week and then DH was at a class all day yesterday. :-|
1. How's the pumping going this week?
2. Any challenges?
3. Do you get up in the MOTN to pump? Why or why not?

1. It's going ok, better now that I'm home and have my hospital-grade pump back!
2. Work trip was a challenge. Turns out the hand pump works waaaay better than the freestyle so I kicked that thing to the curb half way through the trip and I started getting more milk. I was able to keep all the milk cold and bring it home. Only catch was at the airport, it turns out 4 bottles of milk in a square cooler back with a contoured freezer pack in the middle looks like a bomb so I had my milk taken out and inspected. Thank God they didn't open it or I might have wept.
3. Baby sleeps through the night but I get up and pump once or sometimes twice. It cuts down on how much pumping I have to do during the day and I'm worried about my supply dipping if I drop the night time pump.

@chillpr yup and they were still twatwaffles about it. Even in the TsA pre screen line!

1. How's the pumping going this week? Going pretty good, keepig up and even put a few ounces in the freezer!
2. Any challenges? It was hard to keep up my pumping routine when out of town for Easter. And I forgot I had put a bottle in the diaper bag and had to dump 6 precious ounces
3. Do you get up in the MOTN to pump? Why or why not? I don't. Because I love sleep. I should though, it would probably help my supply.
Going ok. I calculated today that I am pumping about 20 oz more a day then lo is eating which is kinda scary.
2. Any challenges?
the pumping itself no but trying to figure out lo's gas issues (latest theory is I get too much foremilk and don't have enough hindmilk/fat in my bottles) no idea how to fix it. Checking with Dr during 4 mo appointment tomorrow.
3. Do you get up in the MOTN to pump? Why or why not
Nope I still get up 2-4 times a night with lo, every two hours so I am not staying up any longer than absolutely necessary. I start my day during the week at 4:45 am and usually get to bed between 10-10:30 pm.
@chillpr if I understand correctly, solids before 1 year are just for funnies, at least with BLW, if they are interested in foods it's more just to play and taste, help develop their palate and their skills (picking up food, chewing, swallowing, etcetera). After that solids start playing a bigger role but only gradually start to replace BM/formula and don't fully replace it until 2 years. Some people start replacing with cows milk after 1 year but some say BM/formula is better and they should stay on that. And of course you CAN keep BFing beyond 2 but IMO it gets a bit creepy when they're old enough to ask for it by name.
Yeah it seems like a long time right? If I could actually nurse and didn't want more kids I would consider going the full 2 years but EPing is too much of a pain in the dick and I want to try for more, at 40 time is not on my side there. Maybe with #2 I'll try to go longer. I think baby boots is going to be FF in a few months here. :-/

@kmommy07 that's great that you're making so much extra! You probably have a freezer stash that would make us all envious.

Yeah I definitely have a freezer stash. I froze bags yesterday for the first time in 5ish days and froze 22 bags @ 6 oz each. I am seriously running out of room but I am too paranoid to slow done or donate yet because with my last I dried up at 7 months and had to use formula for 2 months and I want to save money. DS2 between birth and other medical issues has over 9k in bills and we aren't done yet with them.
I hate pumping. It sucks. Just when I got over a pumping nightmare with shredded nips, it's happened again. I moved up to the correct size breast shields, but guess I'm not using enough lanolin or something. Grrr.
This makes all the initial pain return when I have R at the breast. His damn lip tie isn't helping, but it costs $550 to fix and insurance doesn't cover it.
So now I'm back to my saline, polysporin healing regime and increasing lanoin to avoid any more shredding. Hope it doesn't take as long to heal this time.
Re: ~*Pumping Check-in*~
Actually starting to revive my freezer stash, yay!
2. Any challenges?
I wasn't able to pump on Friday so that sucked but nothing else that I can think of.
3. Do you get up in the MOTN to pump? Why or why not?
