Online childbirth classes?

So DH can't make the evening times for childbirth classes in our area. And there is a weekend intensive, but he would struggle to make the Friday night session and I just don't see him giving up all day on Saturday, too. I would push this, but sometimes you just have to pick your battles, ya know!? So the final option is an online e-learning option. DH does agree to this, but I was wondering what you think. Is it just a total waste of time and money if I can't go in person?

    That will depend on you and your DH's commitment to the class.  My DH wouldn't have focused on it and it would have been a total waste.  He needed the enforced isolation of a classroom to force him to focus on a subject he was very uncomfortable with.  I actually had to have my DH switch shifts for those days to attend our birthing classes in the evening.  It was worth it to get him to deal with things directly.  We also had the drive home to discuss how we thought things would apply to us and what I actually expected of him.

    I don't know if we can ask the instructor questions or not. I am getting the impression that it is more like videos. I am going to check out the demo tonight. I know I could get DH to focus on this better than going to a class. He would feel awkward in front of other people and he would just get pissy because he didn't want to be there. There is nothing worse than when he gets grumpy.
