    It sounds like she's ready to wean.  Good job nursing so long!  I made it to 16 months with my youngest as well.  It's amazing to me that after all that nursing, in only a few days is seems like they forget all about it.

    I think we have a harder time with the weaning than they do.  It's always sad seeing that relationship end.

Grr.. I offered one more time this morning, and she latched okay and nursed on one side. She didn't want the other side like normal, but she didn't break off saying "ow" either, so I will take it. Hopefully we make it through this, but if not, at least with a couple mini sessions here and there the process will be at least a little more gradual for both of us... Thank you everyone for the support.

    I hope it's more gradual too. GL! :)
