I'm either 3 or 5dpo.. Feel free to look at my chart and give me your opinion. Either way I think we had good timing. Still doing the acupuncture, that's about it!

QOTW: DH isn't comfortable about me coming out about IF, but I wish I could. I did read some interesting articles though - too bad I couldn't share with the outside world.

I'm 11 DPO, just waiting on AF. LP has ranged 13-16 lately so not exactly sure on the day but am so ready to get the show on the road and start testing everything!!

QOTW: All the inspiration from this board must have kicked in, because I accidentally ended up sticking up for NIAW this week. At the lunch table with colleages, someone was badmouthing obese people, saying it's not really a disease and they are just avoiding responsibility.

I responded with info on alcoholism as a medical disease, then found myself adding in info about IF as another example. I got kind of passionate but felt strengthened because I was sitting next to a coworker who went through years of trying and I'm pretty sure had fertility treatments - she backed me up. I let the table know that it was NIAW!! It felt good.

Can't say I'm sure what "out" really means - I think it's a gradual spectrum of openness - but I am feeling comfortable in my role as a someone struggling with IF. Or, as darling DH called it this morning (not a native English speaker), an "unpregnant woman."

3. What is your diagnosis (if you have one)? Removed left tube 12/12. Possible endo. Low AMH -- to be retested next cycle.
4. What treatments are you doing? Two more cycles of Clomid + TI. After that, we'll be on to IVF.

For everyone who is up to date on the above, where are you in your current cycle and how's it going? I'm 7DPO today. My temps are up, even higher than they were earlier in the cycle. I had some cramping today. I'm totally not hopeful and feeling remarkably pessimistic.

I've always been open about my IF. But I take the opportunity to post statuses about how IF affects me every year. I usually make smart comments about my expensive-to-conceive child-to-be; during NIAW, I tend to be a little more serious about the whole thing.

Today is CD 1, so IUI #5 was a for sure BFN. I am 13 dpiui and bleeding right through the progesterone with no problem

. We are headed back to Buffalo tomorrow to start the process for #6. We aren't ready to take the IVF plunge yet, though we had thought we would be. I'm going to be asking about upping the progesterone and inquiring about the PIO shots.

QOTW: I have shared a few things on FB this week and had come out on FB the previous week about our struggles so far. It has opened some new avenues for support, which I am thankful for. I didn't post as much as the week has closed out because I was too preoccupied with the BFN and whatever is going on with my body.

Testing and trying to avoid the unmonitored Clomid that is being thrown at me.

We did not "come out" as we still haven't told DH's parents that we are IF. I have high hopes for telling them, though, as they tried for 10 years to have DH and should be better about it than my parents were. (My mother actually told me it "took her, forever, like, a WHOLE month to get pregnant!!!" Face-palm.) I am also so curious to discuss what their issues actually were, now that I understand IF a bit more. Hopefully they will be open to discussing it.

I was also a bit bummed that I didn't see any NIAW posts on my Facebook wall from friends, but I also get it's not a well-known event. I am planning on "coming out" once we have a Dx and DH's parents know what is going on.

Well I dont think I o'd this time. I went in for my BETA on thurs. BFN I started round 2 of Provera/Clomid Yesterday. Heres to May! I was an emotional wreck from 4/12-4/20 just sobbing and feeling terrible. Since then I have come to accept this cycle was a bust and all I could do was get started on my next round! This time I am charting and I bought Wondfos so I can test more often and try and get a more accurate idea of things. I have been putting in a huge effort in my diet. I have cut out bread,pasta, rice (had 1 cheat meal today 1st in the whole week) and adding more fruit and veggies. I am trying to be confident that this cycle will at least show some ovulation!

For everyone who is up to date on the above, where are you in your current cycle and how's it going?
DH just completed a repeat SA. The first one had low motility. RE wants to confirm if there is a MFI. If not I will start on clomid to see if I can ovulate on my own. Last month was the first month I ovulated on my own, from the looks of it this cycle seems to be anovulatory cycle.

CD1 of our benched cycle is imminent. I'm out of town starting next week for the whole month of May for wor,k so I'm hoping my cycles will cooperate. From the looks of it I should be able to squeeze in my next CD 3 monitoring while I'm home for a weekend and next cycle won't be a total bust since DH will come visit and we will try TI. FX for those in the 2WW, and hugs for those needing it.

AFM I'm now 10 dpo and pretty much feeling out. I tested out my trigger of course I had a negative day and then a positive and another negative. Triggers can be such a bitch! I have an auto immune something that is attacking my muscles and one symptom is muscle twitching and for some reason pregnancy makes it stop. I always know when I'm preg by my muscles before I even test and I know when I'm going to miscarry before the Dr's do by my muscles. Well my muscles have been acting up since yesterday so I know I'm out just waiting it out.

I will say my husband who was never real fond of IVF is changing his mind. I've been researching clinics and success rate and comparing. My clinic has good numbers but I really liked the RMA NJ. My husband was so against traveling for IVF but yesterday he started asking me about how we could make this happen. Like he told me, it's like if you have cancer you will go where you can get the best treatment so he's thinking that's what we need to do. I'm sure were going to go straight into IVF so I guess I need to be making a decision.

@ky29 Can you update me to Clomid + IUI #2?

AFM, IUI #1 was a bust. I'm on CD 3 of my next cycle. Baselines are tomorrow. My nurse thought the doctor would keep me at 100mg of Clomid, but that just got me one slow-growing follicle (though we didn't start the 100 until later in the cycle because we stair-stepped) so I really hope she's wrong and I'll be at 150mg. Any thoughts? Would you expect to have a better response to 100mg if you started it earlier in the cycle?

QOTW- We did not come out. As I have said, I would feel bad comparing my struggles to others since we are having trouble but haven't reached a year of trying yet. I'm just trying to be sensitive, but I don't know if that is the right decision or not.

Good morning, ladies! I'm sending some positive thoughts your way, and hoping to see some BFP posts soon!! IUI #1 was a bust, and it looks like IUI #2 will be sometime Thursday - Saturday. I have a work event on Saturday, so I am hoping that won't be the day! The last thing I'll want to do is dress up and go to a gala!

I've been having a rough time lately with everything, more so than usual. Seems like this is just never going to happen for us, without any good explanation.

I did not post for NIAW, but I avoid facebook and I don't miss it! If/when we ever become pregnant, and if I decide to announce on fb, I will definitely say something to the effect of how we've been waiting and hoping for x # of years...

I am 3dpiui and go in tomorrow for blood work to see if I will go on prog or not (I am really hoping no progesterone is needed). This cycle didn't really go as planned and we ended up with only one IUI instead of the planned two back to back. I am going to start testing out my trigger tomorrow, once it's gone though I don't know if I will test before AF. I don't have a lot of hope for this cycle and I already had some spotting this morning making me have even less hope.

QOTW: I did not come out, and don't plan to anytime soon. My parents and sister know, and I have a friend who knows, but that's it. Oh and DH did tell his boss this week because with my crazy body we weren't sure what day the IUI was going to be, so he ended up having to go to work late three days. We've talked about telling DH's parents, but neither one of us like talking about our IF so we just never get around to telling them:/

@lebradford‌ I really don't know anything about clomid but I do Gonal injections and my RE always started me out on my cycles what my max does was on my previous cycle and I always had a better response. Good luck this cycle.

Thank you, @pintobean39! That will save me so much anxiety over the next couple of weeks, both that I might have a better chance this time and that my RE knows what he's doing.

When I met him, I liked him a lot, but I only ever see the nurses, so it's hard to feel calm about it even though I know they talk.

I asked my Re why he didn't cancel me and he said he has seen 2-13mm follies the day before iui turn out to be twins...which is crazy and also very unlikely :S QOTW: I did not "come out" on FB or anything, but someone mentioned that Infertlity Awareness week in Canada is later, so I have some time to decide if I want to do anything.

Well, I am calling IUI#2 a bust. AF is announcing her impending arrival, right on time, with some heavy spotting today and cramping/sore boobs the last couple days. The witch should be here tomorrow.

I'm not really sure yet what we'll do next, or when. The RE is recommending IVF with ICSI. Part of me is ready to move on to that and part of me is just exhausted thinking of the research, saving, and prep we still need to do. DH is still hanging onto the idea that more IUIs might work, but that with our numbers, that would be one helluva miracle. When we did the IUI, I told him I would keep doing IUIs until he was ready for IVF, but I don't know how much longer I can do this. I might even need a break before another IUI, and I've never even done a medicated cycle! DH did say he was willing to start some of the testing we'd still need done prior to IVF. I guess you can update us to IUIs or natural cycles until ready for IVF with ICSI.

We did not come out for NIAW. I'm getting a LOT more comfortable with the idea of coming completely out. It would just be so much less exhausting to be honest instead of having to cover up my feelings. However, I don't feel comfortable coming out to any friends or acquaintances until DH's family knows, and he's not ready to tell them. Sigh. IF sucks.

I am in the 2WW, 8DPO I think. My boobs are sore which never happens... I'm pretty sure that means I'm out just because it makes me have my hopes up a little bit. I'm going to nashville this weekend so I'm hoping that will take my mind off it and then I'll test Sunday when I get back. If this fails we will do our last IUI, since this past one was cancelled.

IUI #3 was a BFN.

I am now switched to Femara/letrozole to prep for for IUI #4 (which may or may not end up being TI, based on when I respond, due to a vacation). I am on CDay8 (day 4 of letrozole) but don't have a monitoring appointment until next Monday (CDay16). I makes me a little anxious to be on a new med with such a long wait until the next appointment, but I have had long cycles on Clomid, so my RE figured that she would skip the CDay12 appointment since I don't seem to have much happening at that point. Is anyone else in this situation??

QOTW: I'm ashamed to say that I chickened out of coming out for NIAW.

I'm just so worried about certain friends/family who are notorious for giving unsolicited advice and/or opinions, and I just don't want to deal with that. I did follow some blogs from members of this board, and I greatly appreciated them. Thank you for sharing!!

IUI#4 was a bust and we were planning to do a 5th and final IUI while preparing for IVF but instead I got benched due to cysts. We decided against another IUI at this point so we booked our IVF consult for Thurs, I'm anxious but looking forward to getting info and their plan for us.

QOTW: NIAW in Canada is next month, I'm still on the fence about posting anything. I am so inspired by the courage of those who did speak out, thank you.

Update me, please :
What is your diagnosis (if you have one)?

Insulin-Resistant PCOS--the diagnosis is the only positive thing to come about from my terrible RE visit. I'm shopping for another RE.

What treatments are you doing?

I'm actually trying to manage it exclusively with diet and supplements. I've so far been incredibly successful with my weight loss, and I started a new supplement (berberine) that I take just like metformin. The studies I've read say it works as well, or better, than metformin in women with insulin-resistant PCOS, with fewer side effects. I'm having blood work done in June to see if it improves my insulin levels. If not, it's metformin for me.

For everyone who is up to date on the above, where are you in your current cycle and how's it going?

I'm currently on CD21 and with 2 positive days of OPKs, EWCM, and a temp spike this morning, I'm very hopeful for ovulation this month. If so, I'd have excellent timing. FX

I did open up on FB about our IF struggle, and the support was overwhelming. I got many PMs and comments, and no one said anything stupid. I'd call it a success.

Still on bcp. I had my saline u/s today and my lining looks great and the cyst is gone! We have our final ivf consult on Monday and we'll get our schedule. My RE is hoping to take me off bcp and start gonal f either next week or the week after.

I'm currently on cd10 with my mid-cycle ultrasound tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to trigger tomorrow night with IUI #3 on Thursday morning. I'm a little afraid that I'm surging on my own early as I woke up with ew cervical mucus and ovulation cramps, but when I called the RE the nurse told me to just keep my appointment for tomorrow morning as it would be early to surge on my own? I don't really trust them, and if this cycle is a bust I'm going to be looking for a new doctor. QOTW - I came out on FB, and only had a few people like my post. It felt really good to open up, but I almost felt like people ignored it.

Got the official BFN from IVF #1. Am having a meeting with vodka tonight. We didn't have anything to freeze, so RE is making a new plan so we can do this again...at least I know what to expect! And I'm hopeful that a new protocol is all we need. Now back to my vodka!

I'm pretty sure today is cycle day 1. Just some pink spotting so far so today or tomorrow. My husband has another SA scheduled for next Friday and then we meet with our RE Monday to discuss the results. Basically we are done with the uro, so we are going to see if our RE recommends iui or ivf ( like he did last time we saw him ). So we hoping that my Dh's counts are up to the point where iui is an option.
I am always pretty open about IF to friends, family ans sometimes even co-workers. If people ask or make comments, I pretty much tell them. I don't usually go into specifics like that we are MFI though, so I can spare my Dh's feelings.

@jaytee16 I'm sorry about IUI #4 and about being benched. :-( I hope you can find some relaxation and peace in your unplanned break. Good luck getting ready for IVF!

Not sure what's going on with my body. I thought I had started ovulating naturally, so decided to chart and use OPKs this month. Got a positive OPK on CD21 but absolutely no temp change (actually, a temp drop right after), so I have no idea what to think.

I also saw 5 pregnant women before 9am today (just randomly on the street) so that made me want to punch things. I appeased myself by watching tv all morning instead.

QOTW: We're not quite ready to come out yet, but I decided next year I will. And I think I'm ready to tell my siblings.

Hello ladies,

I just made a thread, but I will be starting clomid tomorrow. This will be my first medicated cycle and IUI so I'm trying not to think too much about it.

QOTW: NIAW is wrapping up. Did you open up about IF? Did you read anything helpful? Anything thoughts/posts/articles you want to share?

I came out, and I got some really supportive comments. So that was a relief, and not hiding my IF/TTC has made me feel so much better.
