What is your choice of vacuum?

We are in need of a good vacuum in the very near future. While I trust Amazon's reviews on stuff, I thought I would get an idea from other moms. I would like something that can also handle pet hair and litter, as we have 4 cats. Also not wanting to spend a small fortune on the vacuum either.

    We have the Dyson but I honestly wouldn't recommend it. It's a lot of money and seems to break easily. *sigh* I've heard sharks are good!

    The Shark Rotator Professional is amazing!! I have 2 cats and a dog, so there is a lot of pet hair that needs to be kept up. I love this thing. I caught a special on infomercial that came with the vacuum, a bag of accessories, and the steam mop for $199.00 (and you could do 5 payments installlments)
