Birthday plans

Since we're talking birthdays, kind of, I know most of us are on the party planning wagon but do you have anything special planned for the actual, day of birthday?

DH is taking the day off and we're either doing the children's museum or aquarium and other small, weather permitting activities (park, etc).

N's birthday falls on the Saturday of his birthday party. I'm excited that it happened to land on a weekend

Hannah's party will be on Sunday the 17th and her actual birthday is that Tuesday the 19th. The plan is to head to the beach in Maine for a few days after her party so that's where we will be on her birthday!

DB and I both took that whole week off from work. I've never taken a whole week off before so I'm very excited.

Well, I looked into hiring @VG101808 and @MrsLaurenAsh to plan and pull off the whole party, but their rates are too high. :P

Is anybody else planning on doing something super small and low-key? Part of me wants to celebrate LO's birthday by hogging him all to myself all day long, snuggling and playing with toys and taking naps and going through photos of the day he was born.

We are doing a "Frozen: In July" birthday party theme for LO. I am going to do shave ice, rock candy, etc. as the dessert part. Blue, white and purple as the colors. We will have pin the nose on Olaf, our bubble machine. I may even bust out the cotton candy maker.

We will also have coolers with snowballs for snowball fights.

I've been ordering stuff to get ready for it. I'm soooo excited.

My daughter's 1st birthday was just a quiet day at home with cake. I am considering do that again this time.

K's birthday falls on a Tuesday so DH and I are taking work off to go do fun things. We'll probably do the aquarium or the zoo. I can't believe we're already discussing birthdays!

We are doing one big party for family and friends for both boys in between their bdays (DS1 is early august, DS2 late august). We are taking each of their actual bdays off work and having "family dates". DS2 will probably be zoo and DS2 will probably choose to go the bounce house place.

Since his birthday falls on Wednesday we will likely have a nice dinner and cake or something at home just the 3 of us... then party on the weekend with friends and family

I also want to do professional pictures which include a cake so maybe no cake on the actual day haha depends how close together those are.

DH took the day off and we took DD1 to the Strong Museum of Play on her first birthday. Immediate family came over in the evening for cake and ice cream.

DD2's birthday is on a Friday- her party is the next day and we'll be camping the entire week before. I doubt DH will take Friday off. Poor second kid.
