I've been tossing and turning every night for the past 2 weeks or so. Give me your best pillow recommendation! GO! Or if you want to talk actual pillow talk, that's cool too. ;-)
I have the Leachco back 'n belly pillow. It's huge, but we have a king sized bed so it's doable. I kind of wish I would have gotten the snoogle, because the one I have really isn't comfortable the way it's supposed to be used. The seams around the head part of the pillow don't fit the pillow well, so they end up cutting into my neck and shoulder all night and it's super painful.
Now I sleep with the pillow reversed, so that the head part is actually by my feet and I use my own pillow for my head. It works much better like this for me, especially since using it the traditional way it wasn't quite long enough for me either and didn't provide much hip/knee support even though I'm not super tall (I'm 5'9").
I just got the same one and, while I like that I don't have to flip it from side to side when I roll over, I have the same problems as bolded above. The weird seam around the neck isn't too bad as long as I leave a little room at the top, but then it's close to being too short (I'm 5'11)... It does definitely help with the hip pain, I just feel like these flaws make the price kind of unreasonable.
I bought that damn Boppie Pregnancy Pillow that velcros into like 3 parts.
If I could redesign it, I would.
Velcro=FAIL!! I'm actually using the part they say is for your head for between my knees because there's enough filling in it to make it worth my while. Except that velcro is raspy and sucks. It also doesn't stay together well. If they'd redesign and do snap together pieces, that'd be better.
I do use the rest of the pillow as back support, which is nice. If was going to do this again, that Snoogle sure looks ah-freaking-mazing.
