  • Welcome @freakyfast‌! Glad to see you here!

    1. 15 weeks!
    2. Had a great week last week - got the maternity21 test results back and we are now team blue!! And test came back negative for downs. We are busy thinking of boy names!
    3. Still waiting for the second trimester energy boost to kick in, but other than that, feeling ok
    4. Alot of things are the same as last time in terms of symptoms and tiredness. I am really trying to enjoy every moment but my anxiety level is still high. A part of me just wants it to be over ASAP so that nothing bad can happen! I know this will be my last time to be pregnant so I don't want to miss out on enjoying the little things like the planning and feeling the first flutters etc.

  • Welcome to @freakyfast and @chrissynena, so happy to see you here!!

    1. I am 15 weeks.

    2. Next appt is May 19th. Will schedule anatomy scan for first week of June probably at that appt.

    3. So whatever energy I was feeling the last couple weeks went away. I took several naps over the weekend and was still exhausted. Hoping this passes and I the true energy boost shows up. Also, heartburn is here and it's roaring. I had it really bad with DD so I'm not too surprised. I am seriously thankful for symptoms though because it means things are going well, right?

    4. I kind of answered this in 3, woops. I would say overall I'm a lot more tired.  But I think it's because with DD, I didn't have another child to care for and also my work schedule was different. With DD I was working 3 12 hour shifts, and I was able to schedule myself to have some blocks of time off. Now I am working M-F and getting up early 5 days a week has just been different. My nausea was WAY worse this time. My heartburn is the same, and my right hip is starting to be occasionally sore like it was with DD. I would say overall they have been very similar pregnancies so far.

    DD 12/1/2009
    TTC#2 Since May 2012
Dx PCOS February 2013 on Metformin 1500 mg
Met with RE October 2013, we've got a plan!
Surprise BFP on "break cycle" 10/12/13. EDD 6/17/14.
    MMC discovered 11/25/13 at 10 weeks. D&C 11/27/13.
    BFP 2/8/14 Beta#1: 176, Prog 18! Beta#2:335, Prog, 19.5!
    EDD 10/16/2014

  • Welcome @freakyfast and @chrissynena!!  So glad to see you both over here!

    1. How many weeks along are you?  14w4d
    2. Any medical updates?  I had an appointment a little bit ago, and it was just a doppler check but all checked out.  I scheduled by anatomy scan for May 28!
    3. How are you feeling lately?  Good.  Dealing with some heartburn at the moment but otherwise good.  And my belly is now officially too much trouble to suck in.  It doesn't look particularly bump-like yet but I'm hoping it will make the transition from fat looking to bump-like soon.
    4. QOTW: how does this pregnancy compare so far to last time - anything better or worse? Overall are you enjoying being pregnant or do you feel like you can't wait for it to be over?  It's pretty comparable actually.  I don't have a lot to complain about with this pregnancy or last.  So far I will say that I'm probably less achy than I was with DS, probably because I'm more active since i have a toddler to chase around.  I had serious hip pain while sleeping early on with my last pregnancy but it's been pretty tolerable this time around so far.  In a few more months, I'll probably hit the "can't wait for it to be over" stage though.

    November 2010 - 10.5 week loss  o:)
    October 2011 - DS (7)  <3
    July 2014 - Stillborn DD (24 weeks)  o:)
    August 2015 - DD (3)  <3
    April 2018 - 5 week loss o:)

  • Congrats and welcome to @freakyfast and @chrissynena!

    1. How many weeks along are you? 26 weeks

    2. Any medical updates? Nope, bu I see my OB tomorrow

    3. How are you feeling lately? I'm feeling good.

    4. QOTW: how does this pregnancy compare so far to last time - anything better or worse? Overall are you enjoying being pregnant or do you feel like you can't wait for it to be over? This pregnancy was harder than my first in the first tri (more nausea this time), but now it feels pretty similar. My acid reflux may be a little worse this time around and I've broken out this pregnancy, while my skin stayed clear with my first. I'm trying to enjoy being pregnant as getting here was a journey and it's my last, but some days I'm just over it. The giant boobs have gotten old really fast.

    Hi ladies! :-)

    1. How many weeks along are you? 10 weeks & 2 days, wow how the time has flown!
    2. Any medical updates? No, had 3 ultrasounds so far & all good. Have the AMA genetic testing this weekend, could find out the sex but won't be (husband wants to, I don't). I LOVE to have this one aspect of our journey where we can decide to have no medical intervention cause God knows its the only place! lol
    3. How are you feeling lately? Feeling great!
    4. QOTW: how does this pregnancy compare so far to last time - anything better or worse? Overall are you enjoying being pregnant or do you feel like you can't wait for it to be over? This time around is SOOON much easier! Way less fatigue, nausea & stress. Last pregnancy started out with a twin loss & a SCH so that contributed to a rough one. Love being pregnant as it is such a miracle, there is always a pang of guilt for the women who are still waiting on their first miracle meanwhile I have had 2 successful IVFs. Seems so terribly unfair. Couldn't imagine what it would be like not to be happy about being pregnant but can identify with the longing to be at the point where baby is safety born and we have made it to that point. But yeah, 2nd time around 10 million times easier physically & emotionally than first time. Nice!!! :-)

Hi girls!! I can't believe I'm writing this but it's time for me to say goodbye. Baby boy arrived on Saturday after a fairly quick and easy labor and delivery. James Henry was born at 3:03 pm at 8lbs 9oz and 19 1/2 inches. We are in awe of him! We got home yesterday and are cherishing every minute as a family of 4 (even the sleepless parts). So far he's been sleeping and eating very well. I can't thank you all enough for the love and support you shared during my time on 2IF and PAIF. Dealing with infertility was one of the darkest parts of my life, but it was all worth it as I hold my little one in my arms, feeling his warm skin on mine, hearing his little noises..DH and I feel so blessed. I will continue to check in here to see how you all are doing and pray for you throughout your pregnancies. XO
    Congrats!! So happy for you!!

    2. I have an apt with a new doc tomorrow hope this is it because it's stressing me out.
    3. I am still tired and having trouble eating like I should because even though I am starving I am nauseous and can hardly eat.
    4. This pregnancy is way different than my first but this time it's twins so that explains it. :) I feel a lot of stretching/muscle pain/muscle spasms. Also way more tired but not as nauseous.

  • Congrats @MJC1116‌ and @tryingyetagain‌ ! I'm 27 weeks and entering the 3rd Trimester! I can not believe how fast time has flown by! I'm feeling pretty good just tired! Hopefully our upcoming vacation will help with that some ;)

Next appointment is when we get back and I have to repeat my 1 hr glucose test again and have another ultrasound to check the placenta previa. Besides that not much new to report.

QOTW: This time around seems very different than with DD. When I was pregnant with her I was sick the entire pregnancy and had GB. This time I feel good, except being a little tired, and so far have passed my early GB screening. I am also taking weekly progesterone injections to prevent preterm labor this time around so I'm praying that is another big difference.

I didn't have a chance to respond to this week's check-in. Good thing I waited. My RCS on the 12th turned into a VBAC yesterday on the 2nd! Lauralee was born w/out an epidural. Shorter version - mucus plug started coming out Thurs. Fri am- contractions 20 min apart then stopped. 7:30 PM water broke during a contraction now 5 min apart. Got admitted 5cm. By 9, 10cm. Pushed until 10:58. Born weighing 6.5 lbs and 19.5 in long.
