NB diapers..... tell me this was a good idea!?

 I am pregnant with my 4th so I have quite a stash of diapers and have gotten by without many NB diapers.... I have decided I want to dive into prefolds and covers because my OS pockets are bulky and I always have fit issues with my NB AIOs and NB pockets. I currently have 40 OS pockets, 8 lil Joeys, 12 NB blueberry pockets, and then a large assortment....maybe 30 or so.... of homemade small and OS pocket diapers..... my stash is massive but I have a 2 1/2 year old and twin 12  month olds so I have an excuse ;). Any way, because of my history with having a crappy NB stash I purchased 24 GMD nb prefolds and 6 RaR nb covers today...... was this a bad idea? I just want something more practical for the NB phase and my pockets have been a headache for the first 3 or so months with the others. Are prefolds and covers as great as everyone claims? Will they fit that much better? Thank you!

    To elaborate, you will be able to get a custom fit, much more than with what you had before.
    Unless you have a really tiny LO, they will probably not last 3 whole months though, but you have such a good stash, you will have something that will work when they are outgrown I am sure.

    Oh good! I really want to have a better fit! The massive pockets get annoying....

    Prefolds and rumparooz covers were my go to nb diapers along with gmd workhorses at night. Plus I now stuff pockets with my prefolds or just trifold in covers. They are so versatile.

    Prefolds are a great idea, and GMD are excellent quality. Did you also get a couple of Snappis?

    Getting those were a good idea!  A side note....12 mo. old twins and pregnant again=brave lady!  My last two are 13 mo. apart.

    We have done okay with 2 snappis, but some people like to have more.
