Jacob Scott or Jonathan Scott?

We are stuck between these two names and I only have 3 weeks to go!! He would mostly go by Jake (for Jacob) or John (for Jonathan). Which one do you like better? Scott is my DH's name.

Here is the toughy I LOVE the name Jacob but HATE the nickname Jake... I like (not love) Jonathan but HATE the nickname Jon...

I think that both names sound nice, but I like Jacob Scott better

Definitely Jacob but I'm not a big fan of more "plain" names like John/Jon.

Jonathan. There's a remote chance that he may be the only Jonathan in his class, but no hope of being the only Jacob.

Hmm, they're both nice. My DH is a Jacob, he goes by Jake too. My brother is a Jonathan, who only goes by Jonathan, because my parents hated Jon, so he's only ever gone by the full name Jonathan.

Would have to agree. When I look at baby name websites I skip over the top 10 names for boys and girls....and Jacob is always number #1. Jonathan is a good classic name!!!
