How close to labor do you think I am?!? Anticipation building....

So I know I shouldn't be too impatient since I do have gestational diabetes and they told me I would be induced at 39 weeks, which is the week of May 5th so I'm just now moving into 38 weeks. This past week, I've lost my mucus plug along with bloody show (Wednesday night, sorry TMI) and my doctor confirmed I'm 3cm dilated, 70% effaced, -1 almost 0 stage (Thursday). Plus, we were sent to the hospital late yesterday afternoon for further stress test monitoring since her heartbeat was above her typical baseline and fortunately after an 1.5 hrs it went back down to 130-150s...but my point of mentioning this visit is because the nurse asked me if I was feeling my contractions since they were 3-5 minutes apart. I do feel the contractions but they are painless and until I can't talk through them or my water breaks they said not to worry. This is crazy, I have all the signs but nothing's happening. What does everyone think? How soon? Do you think I'll end up going naturally before being induced at 39 weeks?

    I was scheduled to be induced on a Sunday and baby came the Friday before, it was great. I'm no doctor, so I'm not even going to guess.

    I know every pregnancy is different and there's no true way to know for sure but just thought I would see if anyone has had a similar experience or additional thoughts. Thanks!

    …but seriously. We can't tell you. All the things you mention point to a baby coming in the not-too-distant future. If you're concerned or unsure, you need to call your care-giver. 
    Those are nice - do they come in a different colour? I would love to know what's going on in my UTE.

    Well, we are all pregnant and some of us have even had our babies so of course we've had similar experiences. Just try not to over think stuff. You will drove yourself crazy with false accusations

    Don't worry too much! I know it feels like FOREVER but your little one will be here SOON no matter what :) I'm feeling the same way about this one and also am so shocked that my DS will be turning 2 next week. Soon you will just be looking back thinking how fast everything already went by.

    This is just like the women who post a bunch of symptoms on TTGP hoping to be told that they're pregnant. Everyone's body is different so our experiences don't translate to what's happening to you. Unfortunately, you'll just have to be patient and see what happens.

    With my first I was effaced and dialating and still lasted until my induction which went on for 3 days and did not progress my labor at the end of the 3rd day they had to do a c-section. I would just relax and hang out you are close one way or the other

    I think you're in labor right now and will give birth in the next 10-15 minutes. Check back in and let me know if I was right!!!!1!!!1!11!

    Thank you Ykford89! Best of luck to you too! Actually, I have an ultra sound and checkup today so we'll see if I've progressed any of the weekend. Hospital bag packed!
