  I haven't made it quite that far north or west yet, just to Missoula but I have heard it's beyond gorgeous up there.

  Glacier NP is just 2-3 hrs North and that drive is one of my favorites. If you do get a chance, drive around the east side flathead lake, it's a smaller 'highway' but just stunning views and great smaller settlements.
  
  We haven't made it that far East. I hope to find some time this summer to really spend time exploring eastern MT.

  Eastern Montana is a very different flavor of pretty, you really understand why it's big sky country when you are out here. The badlands are a must see on this side and there is some excellent camping in Makoshika State Park in Glendive, an hour south of here and 3 hours east of Billings.
  
  I have wanted to see Glacier for quite a few years now, my sister used to spend every summer up in Hungry Horse for a month or so at the Assembly of God camp and I was always jealous, I'm a mountain girl through and through.
