What do you think of this girl's name?

What's your opinion on Kacey for a girl?  And how would you spell it?  DH brought it up this morning, and we both liked it...we rarely agree so this is huge.  Since then, it's been growing on us more and more.

Re: What do you think of this girl's name?

  • It's ok but NMS. I've see it Kaysi and Casey but I have no idea which one it right if either. I actually prefer it on a boy. I do not like the Kacey spelling

  • I know a number of ladies named Kasey.  They're probably in their 20s now.  We know a number of men that are Casey and Kasey.  I think most of those are in their 30s.  It's nms because I don't want to use a name that's unisex.  I see no issue with others using it.

    I really dislike it
  • I like it but I've only seen it spelled as Kasey or Casey.

  • I know several woman and men who are K/Casey. The K does seem to be more women. Either way, it's very NMS, I don't like it.

  • My name is Casey. As a kid I hated it, as a grown woman I LOVE it!!

My entire life people have remarked that it is spelled the masculine way. I don't care, because I am a traditionalist when it comes to spelling. Seems to me that most female versions are spelled with a "K" and not a "C." I prefer Kasey to Kacey. For the love of all that is holy, please avoid Kacie or any other bastardization/creativity.

  • I think it's nice. I've known women named Kasey/Casey and one man named Casey. I don't think it matters, C or K but I definitely like the asey ending best.

  • I really like Casey ( spelled that way) but can't shake the Casey Anthony association
  • Kasey or Casey. NMS, but it's cute.

This is one of the few names I personally feel is truly unisex (along with Jordan and Morgan). I like it enough. For me, it's gotta be Casey though.

  • It's ok.  The only female I know with that name spells it with a K.  Have you considered Kelsey?

  • One of my BFF's named her DD Casey Jane. I think it is so cute! Never seen it spelled Kacey before. But I like Casey and definitely think of it as feminine over masculine.

  • It seems dated to me, I've never liked this name and I also associate it with Casey Anthony.
  • My problem with Casey is that I don't feel it's masculine enough for a boy or feminine enough for a girl.

  • I'd spell it Casey. I don't personally care for it, but I wouldn't side eye it either (provided it was spelled normally).

  • My 15 year old niece is Casey, was never a fan of it.
  • Have a good friend named Kaci. Love this spelling over Casey. :)
  • I know two girl Casey's spelled this way and I know a Kathleen Claire who goes by KC. I prefer it as a NN the best because there are more options. I find Casey/Kacey a little juvenile on its own
