How are you feeling? I'm lucky, I've felt great most of this pregnancy and did with my first too. I have no complaints.

QOTD: What shows are you guys watching or, for the readers, what are you reading? Any good shows/books you'd recommend?
We watch Last Man Standing and Two Broke Girls. I'm a self-help book reader so I'm reading the Baby Whisperer right now. I'm totally boring!

I've been to scared until now to join the tri-checkins. We haven't had the easiest pregnancy and was put on modified bed rest at 21 weeks but finally starting to breathe a bit!

How far along are you? 28 weeks and due on July 22nd. (Team green) - though it's starting to kill me!

Upcoming appointments? I see my ob on wed. And probably will get my gd test scheduled. When do we get the pertussis shot? I see my MFM on Thursday who I'm taking cookies to because we will celebrate strong viability at 28 weeks! He says it's close to 95%:) I also pray my fundal height grew because I was measuring behind and don't want growth scans or another thing to worry about.

Any updates to share? Last apt. My MFM ok'd me to swim. It's wonderful! I also have to go buy new pants:( I was hoping it would be warm enough for me to get away with dresses and skirts but michigan weather is chilly right now:(

How are you feeling? This morning great. I think my baby is going to be an ego waffle...that's how many boxes I've ate.

QOTD: What shows are you guys watching or, for the readers, what are you reading? Any good shows/books you'd recommend? I've been watching call the midwife on netflix but I'm caught up to real time now. Book- trying to finish allegiant but it's dragging. Next up Wild which will be a movie later this year.

I'm happy to join you guys and have been reading along the way! It is exciting to see those who were on IF when I started last June/July starting to have their babies!
Started ttc may 2012 Me:32. Dh:31 SA- 4% morphology Fsh:9.1 possibly not always ovulating Hysteroscopy/lLap 7/13 resulted in polyp removal, uterine septum, and mild endo stage 1 removed 10/13 IVF #1 successful

  • @amwenz I was scared about having growth scans too but seeing the baby develop every 3 weeks is insanely wonderful for bonding and the reassurance is better than the fundal measurements since there is more room for error with that. Congrats on 95% viability! The TDAP shot gets done any time after 28 weeks.
  • Good Morning Ladies! I am so excited to be joining you in 3rd tri!! I really never imagined I would be here!! I am 28 weeks and 3 days today and doing pretty well. I mean, I can barely breathe, am starting to look like the nutty professor with swollen hands and feet, am exhausted after walking a few steps, and sleeping is so uncomfortable, but I'll take it all and couldn't be happier!! I have an u/s and doc appt. on wed, and I'm excited to see my little peanuts again. I imagine they are getting really big, as their kicks have gotten so much higher and feel like they might come through my throat soon.

QOTD: I have way too many shows I love... Revenge, Parenthood, Modern Family, and then for some of my more disturbing shows...Dateline, Law & Order: SVU, Criminal Minds, and I just watched season 1 of the Following on Netflix and am dying to see season 2! I am embarrassed to admit that I have a sick addiction to reality TV...Housewives, Million $ Listing, Millionaire Matchmaker, & the list goes on & on. DH & I also are into The Voice and a new show called Resurrection.

@MJC1116- huge congrats on baby boy!!

  • Hurray @mjc1116!!!! Can't wait to see your pictures.  Congratulations!  Hope healing is fast!

I'm 33w2d and generally feeling pretty good, though the past two days have been more of a struggle.  I think I've been overdoing it during the day, so it's my fault, not the baby's, but I've never been good at knowing my limits before I hit them.  We are closing on a house this week that we'll be moving into after LO arrives, and it's so hard to restrain myself with everything that I'd like to get done and normally would be easy to accomplish.

No OB appts this week, but I'm seeing my neurologist tomorrow for postpartum instructions for migraine care.  It's so crazy that the end is close enough that postpartum care is a topic of conversation!

QOTW: TV: Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and Call the Midwife.  Books: I Am Livia, Orphan Train, and The Rosie Project.  And Baby 411 -- really a great resource!

  • Hi, everyone!  Thanks for welcoming me to the 3T check-in!

I'm 27w5d today.  Pickles is kicking away happily in there.  My next appointment is an ultrasound on Wednesday, where I'm hoping to find out that my marginal placenta previa cleared up.

I've been woken up by a few really, really bad leg cramps in my calf.  It's starting to affect my sleep, because I'm constantly scared it will happen again.  Does anyone have any tips for preventing leg cramps?

QOTW: For tv, I'm obsessed with Mad Men and Parks & Rec.  I'm currently reading Hild, which is a really dense, absorbing historical novel about England in the Dark Ages.
@violettegrayskies I've actually read that a banana before bed or tomatoes will help to do the trick. I've been getting them here and there too.

Yes, potassium is supposed to help leg cramps, so anything high in potassium (like bananas) should help.  Coconut water is good for the same reason.  I don't love straight coconut water but I tried some coconut water popsicles recently that were delicious!

  • How far along are you? 32w1d!!!!!  Can't believe my countdown has a 7 in front of it!
    Upcoming appointments? T
his Saturday for a regular checkup
    Any updates to share?
Not really.  Feeling about the same as last week, but the tiredness is kicking in hardcore from lack of sleep.  I just can't seem to get comfortable.
    How are you feeling?
Good but uncomfortable, especially when I'm sitting in my chair at work - my back just barks and barks and nothing seems to get it to stop anymore.

    QOTD:
Honestly, nothing. lol  I haven't had much time for TV lately, and I'm not a reader at all.  The most I read are kid books to my belly on occasion now.  I spend most of my time trying to tie loose ends at work before I go out, get ready for our Baby-Q, which is at our house so there's tons to do outside to get the house ready since winter didn't seem to want to go away so things got super delayed, and registry stalking and freaking out since none of the big items have been bought :-/
    Me 31 ~ DH 30
    IVF/FET #1 - BFP!!
    <3 CJW 6/15/2014 <3
    DX - PCOS 2004
    FET #2 - scheduled for 11/24/15
  • @FutureMrsW9‌ are you registered at BRU? That's where I was registered and thought that no one bought a bunch of things and I ended up with so many doubles because things weren't coming off the registry. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what's going on.
  • @MJC1116‌ so happy for you. Man, every birth story makes me super happy Bc we have been through so much!!!
    AFM: 34 wks, 5 dys
Apt this am: heart beats good. I am 70% effaced and 2 cm dilated and don't know what that means! Ha! After all the reading I have done. Guess I could stay that way for a while??? She said she wants to try and get me two more weeks. I have actually lost a few pounds, which worries me, but she said my belly is still growing and not to worry. I just can't eat that much I get full so fast. Still on modified bedrest. DH and I joked that our next apt we will just bring the hospital bag with us!
I'm ok, much harder to get around. I have some sweet friends that stop by and bring lunch this week. My hands are super sore, more groin and pelvic pain (they are getting pretty low!). I'm at peace with what has been done so far at home. Even though there are a few things left. I think we will be ok. So excited! As well for all of you!

  • MishaBelle521 No, I'm registered at Buy Buy Baby for most of our stuff.  I also have a myregistry.com for a few rogue items that BBB didn't have.  I still have a little over 2 weeks until the party, but my MIL has me freaking out about it.  Luckily she's ready to open her wallet and get us the big stuff, which I'm super greatful for otherwise we'd have to sell our house haha, but I told her to just hold off and wait until after the party because there is still some time.

Any updates to share? Nothing really.  I catch DH in the nursery almost every day, which is sweet (he thinks I don't notice where he goes when he sneaks away).
How are you feeling? Tired, lazy, hungry, and nest-y.

QOTD: What shows are you guys watching or, for the readers, what are you reading? Any good shows/books you'd recommend? I like watching The Big Bang Theory and 16 and Pregnat, sometimes I'll watch Cosmos.  Mostly, I work.  I just finished reading Brain Rules for Baby - which was really interesting, but kind of common sense.
