Well it's official. We saw 2 little heartbeats this morning. I am 6w4d, baby A had a heartbeat of 125 and baby B had a heartbeat of 119!
I am so excited, yet a little overwhelmed. I have always had a fascination with multiples when I was little.
Any advice is welcome!!

TTC for 1.5 years with a crappy RE. 12 cycles with clomid (11 too many)

I asked my RE today with twins when I graduate if I would see my regular OB. He is familiar with my OB's office and said with multiples they co manage with MFM (which is downstairs from them).
I definitely have a lot of emotions flowing thru me along with exhaustion. I was glad to read the post about being so extremely tired normal. I work 12 hour days and am pretty much toast for most of it.

My name is Heidi, I live in West Palm Beach, FL., I am 32yo, and I am a first time, expectant mommy of twins!! This came as a complete shocker! I had my first appt. at 6 weeks, and of course they did all the necessary blood work, and within a couple of days called to let me know all levels were where they needed to be according to my last menstrual date, and told me they looked forward to seeing me for my 8 week appointment, where they would do an ultrasound. So last week, (week 8), we went in for my first ultrasound, and to our surprise, there are two babies in there!!
My question is, why didn't my blood work show any elevated levels? And should it have? The doctor and staff seemed just as surprised as we did...Any thoughts?
@heidihegner - Congrats to you as well! Beta hcg levels are not predictive of multiples. Many MoM's on this board had 'normal' betas and found on ultrasound to be carrying more than one. Some women have high levels with singletons.

#2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

Yes you will get lots of stupid/rude comments/question before and after the babies are born like everyone else said. Also, ask questions, if something feels off/wrong, inquire. I really wish I would have when I was pregnant with my twins being a FTM and everything. This board is a great board with a lot of knowledgeable ladies.
