Knitters come on in

I'm being a total PW this morning.  Sorry!

I was in a craft store the other day and picked up a knitting magazine (Simply Knitting) and loved flipping through the pages and reading the stories.  The only problem is that its from the UK and most of the products are not really easy to order for those of us stateside.  I was thinking of getting a subscription to a magazine because I like the physical paper over just using ravelry but I wasn't sure if there was a good one that was geared towards US knitters.  Any suggestions?  Is it a waste of money?

  • I don't have any subscriptions. I did have one on my kindle called Knitting Today but it was discontinued. Do you have a bookstore nearby like Barnes & Nobel? They usually have a large selection of craft magazines including a few knitting ones so you could see what best suits your style & then order a subscription.

  • I crochet not knit, but I always check out the mags at Joann's and the smaller fiber stores. Depending on the store, it will have a wide selection to browse. Is there a group near you that you could hang out with and trade patterns/mags?

I only suggest this because in the mom group I attended it's also a fiber(knit, crochet, ect) group while the kids play. The group swaps anything from toys, clothes, and hobbie items.
