LO had her first bath yesterday and she seemed to like it! We'd sponge bathed her before and she haaaaated it. We kept a warm wet towel on her belly and we kept pouring water on it to keep her toasty, lots of washcloths, and two warm towels after (one for drying her and the other to wrap her up tight right away).
She was more confused by the process than anything.
DS hates the bath. Hates it!! He screams the whole time. He loves the shower though. I take him in with me, sit on the floor and wash him, and then hand him off to DH to dry/dress. It is way less fuss and cleanup for us. And DS doesn't cry. A win win!
Neither of my kiddos has liked baths in the baby tub as newborns. They have both loved taking showers with us, though, as well as baths with mom or dad (like in the full size tub).
My LO doesn't cry at all I wouldn't say he loves it but I make sure the process is quick enough that by the time he figures out he hates it he's already done and wrapped in a towel. Get in and get out
He doesn't love it but he tolerates it. I put a warm wet washcloth over his tummy and that seems to do the trick for him. It stops the crying, at least.
I take baby girl in the shower with me now that her stump fell off. She loves it. I have always taken babies in the shower with me and they all seem to like it. If you are comfortable doing it.
My first son loved it but this little guy is not a fan!!! I'll try bathing with him! It makes it hard to wait til my older son is in bed because I don't want the screaming to wake him up, so I try to do bath when I'm home alone with babe (not very often), but I would rather it be part of his bedtime routine!
DD had her first tub bath yesterday. She hates being naked or wet so I assumed she would hate it. She cried when I first out her in there then calmed down and liked it. I over filled the tub a bit so I started to scoop some out. That was a big mistake. I guess she only liked it when it was covering her whole body. She screamed the rest of the time.

This is my LO too. She acts like a bath will kill her but cries when her shower is over!
Our baby bath is the kind that looks like a bucket. Both DD1 and DS loved it. They don't get cold because they're submerged in water and I'd imagine it's very womb-like. I haven't been able to put DD2 in it yet since her belly button isn't quite healed.

Damn. I was really hoping she was going to like it more than sponge baths :-(
