I have my regular OB appointment today at 9:15am CST. I am anticipating everything going okay. However, after talking with my DF last night and his conversations with my OB yesterday at work I may be getting checked for dilation again today! Yay!!! we shall see I guess!
I have my regular OB at 11. After today they will be weekly! Wow! I'm hoping I'm still measuring on track! I feel so huge! Also need to talk to my doc about horrible pain in my thumbs/wrists/forearms. It's not Carpal Tunnel but something similar. Here's the sticky note pic of what the technical name is in case anyone else has it.
MFM growth u/s today at 2:30 ET--hoping my little peanut got a boost from last week's steriods. I'll feel better when both girls are over 4 lbs. Depending on what I can find out at that appointment, I may or may not swing by my OB's office; I've been having a lot of water retention and swelling over the past week, and yesterday noticed pitting edema on my lower abdomen. From what research I've done, it's normal, but would like someone to confirm that for me. Good luck to everyone with appointments today!
Went in for an ultrasound this morning to check on growth and the kidney dilation that showed up in the anatomy survey at 20 weeks. Also ended up having a surprise NST due to a call I made to the office earlier this week about feeling decreased movement and a change in movement patterns. As I pretty much expected, everything looked fine on the NST (his movement had picked up later the same day I made the call), but I am glad that they decided to do it anyway since it offers some peace of mind as well. Otherwise, the ultrasound showed that the dilation in his left kidney appears to be resolving itself and is within normal parameters - hopefully, it will be completely resolved by the time he is born. He weighed in at 4 pounds today, so pretty average for just short of 30 weeks.
Anyway, hope everyone else's appointments go well...@ugabamafans, I hope that they are able to give you some answers as to what is causing your back pain.
Had my appointment today everything looked good. Baby head was facing down. He is weighing at 3lbs 14. Ounce. Heart rate was at 142. I am going every two weeks know. I told them about my leg cramps and said I could take some ibuprofen if need it. Also try some heat on the legs. I was also told not to cross my legs cause that can cause them to get cramps to. One other thing that I asked about was the Trap shoot. Which I was told it would be good to get that on the plus side for that I will not have to pay for it because my work gives them, I can save money on the shoot yea. Hope everyone has a good appointment today.
Had NST today. Little guy was being a stinker again and apparently likes to sleep quite a bit. After buzzing a few times and drinking some ice water he decided he could be bothered enough to move around a bit.
If this is any indication of how easy-going he will be when he gets here then I'm golden!!
(He was like this on Monday as well for growth scan and stress test.. Maybe the cats kneading my stomach daily and listening to loud music in the house is making him immune to OB's tricks... Lol)
I had another NST today. I came prepared this time with ice water as my little girl likes to be stubborn. She did good though and all was well.
Then the DR came in and told me she wants to induce me at 39 weeks due to the HBP issues!! DH and I just looked at each other. We will nail down the official date next week but just knowing that we have a date and the end is in sight is both scary and exciting!! My June baby might just be a May baby after all.
I am nervous about the induction. I've heard both good and bad stories. I'm just trying to stay positive.
F*ing fell like an idiot and have been having weird cramping ever since. We are talking epic fall on the concrete, landing on my side. LO has been moving a bit but i am going to get checked anyway. Im so frustrated because i had an awesome u/s before falling. They were worried about my LO having a small chin, and having issues breathing at birth. They now think LO will not need any intervention. And then i do this.
I had to come to my OB today to talk about the results of the 3 hour test, which means I have GD. My appointment was at 4pm, it's 5:10 and I'm still waiting to be seen
Had my NST earlier this afternoon. It was different from when I had them with my first, I didn't have to push the button with movement. He did well and had all the right decels and all. My high risk OB was happy and set us yo for next week.
My appt went well. OB is anticipating an early delivery but said that we will def make it to 37 weeks and longer if we can! It's getting so close!!!
@cristykaye - I totally do not mean to freak you out, but I saw this, looked at your ticker, and then realized - holy shit! That's like 2.5 weeks away!
@crestedlady that's wonderful that the problem with LO's kidney is
resolving!
I guess that my problem is that I'm 8 months pregnant and should put on my big girl panties and suck it up.
@hlp2709 - Are you certain that your doc said that you could take ibuprofen? Everything that I've ever read said that it was a big no no during pregnancy. Also, what the heck are you talking about with a "trap shoot?" You lost me!
Yes she did say ibuprofen but I am not going to do that I thought it was odd when she told me. The shoot I am talking about is the Tdap vaccine. I was on the mobile app and must of fixed and I did not see it.
Had my 34 week check up today and found out little guy is still breech. I'm kinda panicking right now..I started some of the exercises on spinning babies, and I'm hoping he turns by our next appt. I know we have bumped about this topic before but I'm too lazy to search. Any advice welcomed!
Had my u/s earlier this afternoon, and while the smaller of the two girls is maintaining her peewee status and has low (but stable) fluid, the doctor was very happy with the babies' overall health. Me, not so much...with recent shortness of breath and lots of swelling, he sent me to L&D. I've been admitted for at least 24 hours of monitoring and an echo scheduled tomorrow. After we get results tomorrow, they'll probably have a better idea when we're going to be looking at delivery--the estimate we keep getting is sometime in the 34-36 week range. Keeping my fingers crossed that we can hold out for another couple of weeks!
Sorry I'm finally updating so late! Had a growth ultrasound today to re-check amniotic fluid levels. Today they were at a 10, which my doc still considers on the lower end, but the number had risen slightly from last week. Isaiah is still measuring ahead, at 36 weeks and 6lbs!
Met with one of the midwives today to just revisit the game plan. I will be now doing weekly growth ultrasounds to check fluid levels and make sure Isaiah is still growing steadily. We will be inducing at 37 weeks (May 17th, give or take a day). If my cervix is favorable, they will break my water to start labor and hopefully that will end in a VBAC again. If my cervix is closed, it will be a C-section. =/
Also had my 2nd NST for this week (getting them twice-weekly from here on out due to the ICP), and he was being a stinker. He is always sleeping during them, and never wants to give them the healthy heart accels that they are looking for. He's looking great and he'll be here soon!
@MissBHaven1024 sounds like your appt went well. Are you still itchy or is the Urso working for you? Thoughts and prayers for you and your little one. I also had an appt today. My little guy didn't want to cooperate during the NST either. Then my daughter started crying and he became very active. It was so funny. His heart rate also went up when I had contractions. I wasn't scheduled for a biophysical but my dr was stuck in surgery so to kill some time they did an ultrasound. My little guy isn't so little. He is measuring about 3 weeks ahead, is in the 76th percentile, and an estimated weight of 5lbs. 6oz. They haven't changed the date of my c-section, yet. So I will still be delivering at 39 weeks. For now I will go once a week for an NST and at 34 weeks I will start going 2 times a week. If anything changes with my little one then they will change the date. I had ICP with my daughter and delivered at 36 weeks but she also had other complications. I'm hoping to keep this one cooking as long as I can.

I'm still itchy as hell! The Urso doesn't seem to be helping in that regard at all. I'm glad your appt went well and that everything looks good with baby!
I'm sorry to hear the Urso isn't working. I know what you are going through and feel so bad for you. It's the worst itch ever. Have you talked to your doctors about changing the dosage? Praying for you.
