I'm freaking out because I feel like I'm going to have an unattractive belly when I get bigger. My poor husband just doesn't get it & says it's fine. But I mean, who wants an unattractive bump?!
I've had my navel pierced since I was 18 - I'm 35 now. Still have it, two kids later. I was able to keep it in until I was about 7 months each time, then I took it out and put it back in after I had the baby. It's always looked nice. I plan on keeping it in until I can't anymore.

The only thing I will mention was because of the scar tissue as you skin stretches the hole doesn't and that made for a painful week or so. In hindsight a little olive oil probably would have helped.
I took mine out when I was maybe 3-4 months pregnant with DD. I never put it back in. The hole didn't get any bigger from being pregnant. It's obviously still there and while it took a while to get use to, it doesn't bother me anymore.
Honestly, if I weren't a mom, I would probably still have my bb ring although I suppose I don't know for how long. I wouldn't want to be walking around until I'm 50 rocking the body jewelry! lol

I had one when I got pregnant wih my daughter and it became uncomfortable so I took it out 10 years later I can still get a ring through it.
I have something worse than a BB ring. Tattoo that is a ring of flowers around my BB. It seriously took up the whole front of my stomach while pregnant with DD. It shrank down to its normal size again shortly after giving birth. I'm hoping that 10 years later I'm that lucky again. I have already started using coco oil, I have a feeling that my 10 year older skin is going to have more problems.

I took mine out when I was about three months pregnant with DD. The OB said she had seen women who had left theirs in and then they had gotten stuck. Needless to say, I quickly removed mine, but it had been there for 10 years. Never had a problem but as you can imagine, you can still see a small hole.
I had a belly button ring for 11 years when I was pregnant with DS two years ago and I took it out at about 3 months pregnant. The hole did stretch and now it looks funny, I just pretend it's not there. I also have both hips and both ribcages tattooed but luckily none of them stretched or warped in any way with DS. FX they stay normal with number 2!
My DH is a tattoo artist so if any of my tattoos warp he'll hopefully be able to fix them pretty easily. I also had a belly button ring that I got on some whim and only had in for about 6 months. It was so uncomfortable for me. Anywho, I don't even see the hole anymore like some of the PP said and I think vitamin e oil and/or jojoba oil should help to keep it that way. FX

Honestly you didnt have to take it out at all.
I have two kids and have never removed mine and don't plan on removing it for this baby.
They have pregnancy rings that are flexible if your belly button needs it to be. Mine never stretched in any strange manner while pregnant and doesnt look any different after now either.
Its a personal choice whether or not to take out your peircings but common misconception that you HAVE to, just as not every woman will get stretch marks it all depends on your skins reaction you might have been a lucky one that never stretched, never know :-)
The hole though, you may still see though for a while but unless your hole scarred prior it shouldnt look "strange" just like a little dot so your bump should still look nice.
Re: Anyone have a navel peircing that they foolishly got in the late 90's & just took out?! Help!
