I'm a newbie to ivf and my transfer is Sunday

How long did you wait until you had sex after transfer ?

    The instructions I got said pelvic rest at least through beta, not sure if they extend that in the event of a positive test.

    8/13: Started seeing RE; DX: Unexplained IF, RPL testing normal, SA perfect.
    Oct - Dec '13: Clomid 25 mg + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN
    2/14: IVF #1 Gonal F + Menopur + Ganirilex + Lupron trigger w/ HCG boost= 28R, 11M, 5F. 5dt 4BB, 1 frozen 4BB    . BFN
    4/14: IVF #2 Saizen, Gonal F, Menopur, Ganirilex = 20R, 10M, 10F.  5dt of 2 4AB, 2 frozen 4BB.  +HPT 4dp5dt, Beta 4/26

    Mine says it's okay the day after....although i have never gotten close, I would wait till US.
    TTC 2 years- Me and DH (28) with (severely) low sperm count- less than 40 total (last 2 SA showed only 5 and 6 sperm each)
    IVF #1: ER 1/23/13- 4 eggs retrieved, 3 eggs fertilized; ET with 1 embryo 1/28/13 2 frosties beta #1 2/5 was 4.8- beta #2 2/7 3.5; BFN
    FET #1- transferred one beautiful 4AA embie. Praying this is my take home baby. Beta 5/7/13- BFFN!!!
    IVF #2: ER 7/17/13: 6R/3F- transferred 1 blast and 1 10 cell embryo 5dt.   Beta hell.  #1 2.5, #2 2.2- BFFFN! REALLY?
    IVF #3: ER 12/1 and only 2 retrieved.  1 fertilized with ICSI.  Was planning on transferring one fresh and one frozen....fresh was only 14 cells at day 5...CANCELLED and devastated due to 5cm blood filled cyst in ovary and blood in uterus.
    IVF #4: Antagonist protocol with endometrial scratch day one of stims.  ER 4/21: 6R/4M/3F- transferred 2 beautiful blasts (5dt) and one was hatching!  No frosties but hoping we won't need it!  Beta 5/4/14- 444(8dp5dt), Beta #2 10dp5dt 1002!  THIS HAS GOT TO BE IT!!!!!!!!!!  First US 5/15 we saw two of the most beautiful gestational and yolk sacs I have ever seen!  
    ****FINALLY PREGNANT WITH DI/DI TWINS!!!!!!!  

    BRINLEY AND RILEY LONG.  Born November 20, 2014 at 32 wks 3 days.  4lbs7oz and 4lbs5oz.  1 month NICU time for "B's" and growing and feeding.  Now healthy, thriving, beautiful little girls!

    Depends on the RE. Mine says not until you see a heartbeat.

    Mine said pelvic rest until after beta.  When I was PG this past fall I was so horny for about three weeks - one week after transfer to about two weeks after beta.  I figured it was all the hormones...so I was happy when I got the OK to go.  

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
    IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013
    BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
    Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy
    JUNE 2014 IVF#2;  5R, 2M, 1F Three day transfer 6/7.  Beta 6/18 - BFN

    Mine said a week not till after beta with my fresh transfer and for my FET he said we had to wait a week after transfer. I think we are going to wait till beta though. GL with your transfer :)
    Me 30 mild PCOS w/o insulin resistance DH 32 low count & motility after vasectomy reversal 
    Married 10/2007 TTC since 2013 
    IVF#1: Jan 2014 - Lupron trigger - due to high risk of severe OHSS; E2 at trigger - 6984  
    ER - 1/28 35 retrieved, 22 mature, 14 fertilized (ICSI) 
    ET - 2/2 cancelled due to mild OHSS 6 blasts frozen 
    FET #1: Mar 2014 - long lupron protocol 
    5/6/14 - Two blasts transferred, one hatching! 
    5/11 5dp5dt BFP! Beta #1 262 (9dp5dt), Beta #2 756 (13dp5dt), Beta #3 1738 (15dp5dt)
    6/3/14 - u/s showed one beautiful baby with a heartbeat of 123, EDD 1/19/15

    TX: IUI #1 with Follistim. Canceled due to too many follicles (10 + that were large); BENCHED
    IVF #1 March 6. 14 eggs retrieved, 10 fertilized. 
    March 11, 4 eggs transferred.
    March 21 BFP  :) Beta #1 457, Beta #2 1350, Beta #3 9619. 
    Due Date November 27, 2014

    Dx: PCOS + MFI (low motility and morphology)

    IVF w/ ICSI cycle #1 
    9 days stimming with Gonal-F, Menopur, Cetrotide
    ER on 4/21 - 19 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 8 fertilized normally
    3 embryos survived to blastocyst
    2 hatching blastocysts transferred on 4/26
    Faint BFP on 6dp5dt and getting darker each day
    Beta #1 (11dp5dt) = 292
    Beta #2 (18dp5dt) = 6,154
    Ultrasound at 6w2d reveals a single baby with a heartbeat of 125 bpm! EDD 01/12/2015
    Ultrasound at 8w0d: heart rate 164 bpm
    Ultrasound at 9w4d: heart rate 185 bpm
    Panorama tests returned in 10 calendar days. Low risk for everything!
    It's a boy!!!

    For my first, I was told I would have spotting after ET (I actually didn't) and when it stopped I could have sex. For my second, they changed the aftercare instructions and told me to wait a week. I never realized there was such a variance among RE's recommendations.

    IVF #2 MDL w/PICSI March 2014 = BFN

    IVF #3 EPP/Antagonist w/PICSI May/June 2014 = BFP!; MMC 6w4d

    IVF #4 No suppression/Antagonist Nov 2014/Converted to IUI #1 = BFN
    IVF #4.1 Feb 2015 = cancelled
    IVF #4.2 April 2015 - Lupron Stop Protocol with ICSI = PGD testing of embryo indicated it was abnormal
    IVF #5 June 2015 EPP with Antagonist

    Mine said the day after transfer it was safe.

    FET #1: 2 frosties, neither survived the thaw
     IVF #3 Bravelle/Menopur/Ganirelix 4 retrieved, 1 perfect embie transferred = BFN 
    IVF #4 Microdose Lupron/Bravelle/Menopur: 8 retrieved, 6 fertilized, 2 transferred, 2 Frozen: Beta 1: 63, #2: 51, #3:148 #4: 537 #5 2204.  US #1: very small gestational sac.  US#2: Empty sac
