I was at the store today getting the little guy some last minute things when I walked past an older lady who took one look at me and said "Holy crap when are you due!?!" I kinda laughed and said "Two weeks!" She shook her head and said "Yeah you look it! Someone should be following you around with a towel and a pot of boiling water!"
I stared at her and then walked away. As I was walking away she pointed to my daughter and said "If you make all of them as cute as her, you should keep making them! Is she getting a brother or a sister?" I said "It's a boy." Then she said "So he won't be as cute as her, but you should keep trying!"
I stared at her and walked away faster.

The thing is, I'm not even really that huge! My belly button hasn't even popped out yet!
Mind you, I'm measuring precisely average. I decided then and there that these random commentators have no idea what they're talking about. Doesn't entirely kill my irritation, but makes stupid comments a lot easier to dismiss.
I was on a walk this weekend and a cyclist was behind me on the trail. I moved out of the way and stood sideways. I guess he couldn't tell I was pregnant from the back, so his comment was "You trying to get that kid out today?" Mostly, it just made me laugh because the look on his face was hilarious!
