Tips on my gassy boy?

We're already using the gas drops & I'm burping in btwn breasts. He's 3wks old today & cries when he passes gas and when he needs to get some out. I've tried the bicycle legs, laying him belly down on my forearm, making sure his head is higher than his body while eating. He's also not having regular poops, I called the pedi and the nurse told me not to worry unless he goes 5 days.
Please help....

    We have a bouncy chair that vibrates that almost always results in a bowel movement. Might be worth a try.

    I have been giving gripe water right before feedings and it has been working well, much better than gas drops, With my first son nothing seemed to help but he had colic :(

    My baby girl was pretty backed up (no bm for 37 hrs) and we were also told to wait it out by the drs. Of course they don't have to deal with our constipated, gasey, miserable, crying babies. We googled it and a lot of moms suggested inserting a vasoline coated qtip and slowly swirling it in the rectum. Within 30 secs we had mega poop. Filled two diapers and she was farting for the rest of the hour.

    I read that sucking on a pacifier can encourage a burp. As for farts and poop, you can try tummy rubs. I wouldn't stick anything in the rectum unless the pedi specifically said it was okay to do so.
